Day 9: Going Home

I stood up from the chair and went to the window and leaned on the side.

I know. That was the original plan. That was the reason why I got married. To get that title.

"Once you are officially declared, you and Lucy can file a divorce. I know that everything that happened was too much for both of you."

"Well, Dad. What if...what if I don't want to file a divorce?"

When I asked that question, there was a long silence on the other line.

I checked my phone and it seemed that we were still connected.

"Dad?"

"We will discuss it once you are here. But for the meantime, don't do anything reckless."

"Why can't you answer my question now?"

There was no answer from him and he dropped the call just like that.

My eyes were on my phone screen.

I pressed the back button when a message appeared.

Lucy

Good morning.

A smile came naturally as I opened the message box.

She's awake.

I immediately responded to her greeting.

And SEND.

I just felt like teasing her this early. I closed the window and put my phone on top of the coffee table.

I went to the shower room to get ready for today's activity.

I planned to give this day a memorable ending since this will be our last stay here.

Lucy's POV

Jeno

Let's have our breakfast outside the resort.

Just in time when I finished assessing myself in front of the mirror when I heard a knock on my door.

I went to the door and opened it.

And there...

He was standing with a smile on his face.

He was wearing simple clothings. Yet, he appeared outstanding, still.

"Let's eat?" he asked.

I nod.

I still get butterflies in my stomach everytime I see him.

I still felt awkwardly shy when I am in front of him.

He casually took my hand and held it tightly.

He looked at me with those same gorgeous eyes.

He pulled me closer to him as he closed my door.

"I know a restaurant downtown. Let's try it there."

I nod. "Okay."

He intertwined his fingers to mine and we headed towards the elevator.

Everything seemed normal to him. Whereas I, I'm still trying to get things inside my head.

The elevator door opened. We went inside and he pressed the GF button.

He leaned to the other side, still holding my hand.

I wanted to say something but...I don't know what to say.
