"Why cant we do it? We are both the age Sarah."
"Jake i don't think am ready to do... You know what. Just please understand."
"I have been waiting for two freaking year and i cant wait no more."
"What are you trying to say?"
"Its over."
I jumped from out of my sleep with my eyes watery and my head pounding.
"Is it a nightmare?" John asked.
"No its just my memory coming back, this is the second time it has happen."
"Quit the talking, we need to start moving, don't want anyone tracking us down." Aaron mumbled.
John got up and walked over to Annie. I grabbed my bag and put it on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Aaron starring at me, when he notice i saw him he removes his eyes.
I walked over to him and touch him on his shoulder.
"So where are we heading?" I asked fixing my bag. He looked ate for awhile then he spoke.
"We are heading east. Lets go guys." he called over his shoulders.
I started to walk beside him to see if i could get any information from him.
"Where are us?" I asked craning my neck to see his face.
" you really don't remember anything?"
"Sucks right? Wish if i could remember something better, other than those two. but i guess its better than none." I mumbled looking at the trees as they sway with the breeze.
"We are in California. And to answer your next question, it seems as if scientist was working on a big project and let out something in the air that cause people to die and some to turn into a walking dead.
"So how you guys are alive? when did this all happen?" I asked.
"Look i am not god so i don't know how the hell we are alive. All i know is that it all started last year in early January.
"Did you hear that?" Annie said pushing me aside to stand near Aaron.
"Hear what?" I asked looking around.
"I was not fucking talking to you"
"Could you just cut the crap and tell me whats going on." Aaron said in frustration.
I felt something rustling behind me but i didn't pay it any mind.
"Sarah move!" Aaron shouts dashing to me.
I turn around and saw a man. He looked like a man but he was rotten, it seems as if he was forming in something that i don't know how to describe. The man creature reached out and grab me pushing its self on top of me. I screamed out from the weight of the man.
Omfp.. Aaron stabbed a knife right in the things neck. It made a sickening sound as he turned the blade. The man flabs down on me and some of the blood pour out all over my clothes soaking it. Aaron pulled me from the ground looking every where and my body inspecting me.
"Are you OK?" He asked.
"Do i look OK, what the hell was that?" I shout looking down on the dead man.
"That's what human turn into when they are infected. Next time watch your back because i will not be running behind you to make sure your safe" he barked out.
"We should of let that fucking thing eat her at least i would feel good." Annie said pointing a knife at me.
"First of fall i didn't ask for your help and you, i said pointing to Annie, could you shut your fucking mouth before i have to take out a next piece of your skin."
"OK OK, lets cut this fight right here because it will not take us anywhere." John said clapping his hands together.
I walked of from them continuing my journey with john trailing behind me. I stopped for him to catch up with me.
"What were you before this happens?" I asked.
"I worked as a mechanic. I had a wife and two beautiful daughters. Everything was good until this disease started to spread. The all die now the only thing i have as a family is Annie and she can be quite a pain in the ass if you know what i mean.
I saw joy in his eyes as he talked about his family. This made me wish if i could at least remember mine.
"Am sorry about what happen." I mumbled feeling cold now.
"Don't be he smiled, after all its not your fault"
We continue walking without talking. Its been hours since we were walking and i was getting really tired and hungry from not eating in the morning. The sun was soon to start to set.
We came up on a clearance with a nice lake beside it. Just by seeing it made me realize how dirty and bloody i was from earlier.
"We will be camping here for the night." Aaron shouts.
Yes perfect i mumbled, throwing down my bag.
