I woke up and my head was pounding. I groaned and rolled over to check the time. 12:28pm

Great. I slept away half my day. I sat up and went to the bathroom. I cringed when I saw myself in the mirror. I brushed through my hair and brushed my teeth. I put my hair up in a bun and went downstairs to look for some pain pills.

I rubbed the side of my head as I made my way down the stairs. "Good afternoon sleeping beauty" Emma said. She said it softly but it sounded like she was screaming. "Em, quiet down" I said rubbing my head again. "I figured you'd have a serious hangover. Here's some pain meds and coffee" "you're the best Em" I said taking the medication and downing the coffee. "I know" she flipped her hair.

Once I wasn't in any pain, I asked Emma to take me home. I put on my clothes from the party, which she washed, and hopped in her car.

"Hey mom" I said as I walked into the house. No answer. I walked into the kitchen and looked at the note on the counter.

"Hey Hads, Hayden and I went to Ryan's. We should be back tonight. Love you - Mom"

I put the note back down and went upstairs. I took a shower and put on a pair of black leggings and a fitted white tank top. I walked out of the bathroom after blow drying my hair and was startled.

"Ryder?! How the hell did you get into my house? And how did you know where I live?" I said throwing my dirty clothes in the hamper.

"I have my sources, princess. And besides, your window was unlocked.

I seriously need to start locking my window

"What are you doing here Ryder?" I asked. "Lets go have some fun" I raise an eyebrow at him. "Let's do what we used to do all the time. Put the racing egos aside and just go out and do something fun" he stepped closer.

It would be nice to go do something like old times. Ryder and I always found a way to do something fun and exciting. To be honest, I missed it. I nod and he smiles. "Okay. Go change. It's warm outside. I'll be waiting in the drive way for you" I nod and he walks out. I replaced my leggings for a pair of light blue skinny jeans and my tank top for a gray fitted crop top. I put on some mascara and my gray and white vans and headed out the door.

Ryder was standing there leaning on his motorcycle. I turn around to lock the door and I feel his eyes on me. I put my hand behind my back and flipped him the bird hearing him laugh in response. I hop onto his motorcycle. "I still remember when you got that" he gestured to my belly piercing. "That was a fun day" I smirked. He handed me a helmet and started up the motorcycle.

Soon enough, we were parked in a field by a trail that led into the woods. We hopped off and started down the trail. "It's nice here" he said. "Yeah. It's a lot prettier than back home" "Why'd you come up here?" I continued.

"Mainly for racing. When Dimitri told me we were moving the race to California, I knew you had something to do with it." I smirked as we walked in comfortable silence. We found a cliff that had a beautiful waterfall coming down off of it into a big lake. We decided to sit down beside it.

"This is nice. If I'm being honest princess, I did miss you. I missed having fun like this and getting into trouble. I missed us" he said. I didn't know what to say after that. I started to remember when we were back home. Ryder and I were best friends. We even had a thing for a while, but no one knew. We wanted to keep it a secret, it's not like we had to. It ended with him sleeping with someone I knew. But even after that we still were best friends. At one point I told myself I loved him, but I never told him that. When I moved, those feelings withered away. I just don't know if they would come back now that he's here.
