Illusion

In my life, I had a friend

Whom I trusted to infinity’s end

To me, he was caring and sweet

And I craved, to him meet

I thought he was a gentle man

I wish I had the ability for his brain scan

A beautiful gem, a shining star

Who shared with me, his chocolate bar

How polite he pretended to be

His amazing smile that made me merry

I was happy, proud of him

But he left me alone in a light dim

He has taken off his fake mask

Finally, I understand his assigned task

He has played with me, made me a fool

I thought he was different and cool

He picked me up when I fell down

He was the owner of my king’s crown

But now he’s just an illusion

And my heart is filled with confusion

Have I been robbed or is it just a dream?

I awfully sob and hysterically scream!

Author's note: I didn't have an idea in my wildest dreams that i could write a poem like this but it came to me one night and I had to save it before it disappeared. May be, the surroundings really affect a person and a poet... *sighs* he's the most sensitive person.

How's it? My first attempt on a poem like this! :)
