In my opinion, Spawn is one of the coolest antiheroes I've ever seen, and his design is totally badass. Spawn is far more important with our culture since his movie is the first superhero movie in which an African American actor plays a superhero, which is a pretty big deal. Also, Keith David is the best voice to Spawn in my opinion. Anyway, I decided to try to draw my own version of Spawn, doing everything I could to stay faithful to Todd McFarlane's design. You could say I succeeded with flying colors. Recently, I'm doing this thing where first I draw my characters with a pencil, then I trace them with a black marker pen or a different color in a style similar to the way the characters on My Little Pony are traced with colors. As you can see, Spawn is traced with black and red, making him pop out more. Expect my drawings to be traced with inks from now on. Oh, and good luck to Todd McFarlane on his Spawn reboot.
