"What's plan A?" I asked as I sat near my pillows on my bed. She was at the opposite end. She pulled out her phone and opened up the notes app.

"So Plan A, is to cancel the second season of Spotlight and we act like you never signed on to another season, and then we get you signed to something else. You're hot talent in Hollywood Mae, it won't take long to find you a new job."

"And B?"

"B... is probably not the option you want to go with at the moment."

"Tell me what it is."

"Well Plan B, we get you out and about and seen with a new man so that the public can see that you are truly over Tristan and the relationship meant nothing to you, which will get you noticed and the public will still see you as relevant and therefore you're going to book another job in no time."

I knew deep down that wasn't the old Mae. But then again, the old Mae loved Tristan. This one didn't.

"Plan B it is," I smiled.

"We just need to find you someone and then we can-" I interrupted her. I already had the perfect man in mind.

"Just get the paps onto my trail in three days at Stanford. You're going to travel with me back to Stanford and we can make a deal."

She nodded her head.

"But I want all expenses paid for him," I smirked, formulating a plan in my own mind. She scribbled a few words down onto her notepad on her phone and then we packed my bags and left without a doubt in our minds.

*************************

Alishia walked into the big glass building behind me as we stormed up the reception desk of the law building at Stanford.

"Hi," I smiled, pushing my sunglasses up to the top of my head. The lady behind the desk looked rather confused before she looked up, but when she did it was as if she instantly recognized me and her face dropped. She stood up to shake my hand.

"Mae Parker, what are you doing on our campus?" she asked, seeming rather nervous. Her face became flushed with a light pink color.

"I'm looking for someone. Can you tell me where Dean is?" I asked.

"Dean?" she asked after sitting back down at her desktop computer. I looked over the bench at her screen.

"His names Dean, he's a friend of mine."

"Can you tell me a last name so I can search him?"

"Look his name is Dean and I don't know his last name. Surely there's not that many Deans that do Law at Stanford. That's oddly specific."

She read over a few names on her computer.

"He's a third year Law Student," I mumbled.

"All the third year's are currently in a lecture in room five b, if you just wait thirty five min-"

"Great thanks," I interrupted her and continued to walk down the hallway that led to all the lecture rooms. She continued to call my name after we walked past her but she wasn't in any position to stop me.

We made our way to room five b, with our high heels clanking on the floorboards as we got to the room. I swung open the door to the lecture room and swallowed my pride as literally every pair of eyes turned to the door in the corner of the room, especially the lecturer.

"Can I help you?" he asked, turning his full attention to me. I quickly gazed from him to the entire class to notice that multiple people had pulled their mobile phones out and some subtly forgot to turn their flashes off.

"May I please have a word to Dean?" I asked and scanned the room for him. I knew he was in her somewhere.

"Dean?" the lecturer asked and he stood up from the third row back, he was just as shocked as everyone else in the room.

"Can I have a word with you please... outside?" I sweetly said to the entire room. He quickly stumbled from his seat and left his laptop open.

"You might want to bring that!" I said. I exited the room after smiling at the professor and waited for Dean to meet us out in the hallway. Once he got to the door he swung his laptop bag over his right shoulder and fiddled with his books.

"Uh hi?" he said confused. "Mae?"

"Listen up and listen quickly," Alishia said.

He nodded his head and took a sip of his coffee cup, like a typical college student.

"We're going to take you back to L.A. for two weeks where you will act as Mae's boyfriend for the course of those two weeks and you will do university online for the time that you are away is that fair?" she quickly spoke reading through notes on her clipboard.

"What?" he asked, confused.

"We have spoken to the admissions board and your entire college tuition will be paid if you agree to do this for us."

His eyes lit up at that statement and a smile grew on his lips.

"When do I start?"
