"It's okay, Buddy, Come with me", He said, as he gathered him up in his arms, &they rushed back into the house, So, Steve could get a handle, & control of the situation.
"How is he, Gracie ?", The Former Seal asked, as he came in, & set Charlie down next to her. "He is having trouble breathing, & clutching his chest", she said, as she composed herself, & comforted her father, by running her fingers through his hair. Steve got his phone put, & made the call for help, & hopes that it isn't too late.He called Rachel Edwards, His Ex, & filled her in on what is happening, "I will be there as soon as I can", she said on the other end of the line. Danny managed to calm himself down, & said slowly, "Steve, Please don't worry, I will be okay".
The Brunette nodded, & said, "Of course, I will be there with you every step of the way", & he kissed him, as he said this.The Paramedics were there in no time fast, They had the blond being rested, & feeling comfortable. Rachel showed up just in time, She hugged her kids, & kissed Steve on the cheek. Danny & Steve were glad that they worked things out with her, For the kids' sake. "Go, Me & the kids are right behind you", & he thanked her profusely, hurried outside, so he rode with Danny in the ambulance right to King's Medical Center.
Steve was right at his lover's side, & he was holding his hand, keeping himself together, Cause he knew that people are counting on him. "I will be there for you, Danno, You can count on it", he said thinking to himself, as the ambulance was making it's way through the crazy traffic of Honolulu.They rushed him in, & Steve was directed to the waiting room, & paced around, As he was doing this, He made the necessary phone calls, & the team told him that they would be there. The Navy Seal thought of positive things, while he waits for an update on Danny's condition. He was trying imagine the future, that Danny saw. It was keeping him insane, & focus at the moment.
After awhile, Rachel & his ohana showed up, Rachel got straight to the point, & asked, "Any news yet ?", as she sat down, & comforted the former seal, she sensed that he was on the verge of losing it. Captain Lou Grover said, "Danny is one hell of a fighter, Don't count him out yet, Not til the next round", Officer Junior Reigns said confidently, as he agreed, "He will make it", as he placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. Officer Tani Rey said, "If you need help with the kids, or at the office, You let us know, Okay ?", The Ex-Lifeguard greeted the kids, & the Five-O Ohana waited with Steve, & the rest of the time was silent. The Doctor, Who was in charge of Danny's case, came in & reported what he found, & updated them."Detective Williams came with signs of distress of his heart, with the signs of heartattack, I think that with rest, & possible no stress, He should be fine, Try & delegate his work, If you do that, He will live longer, & be happier", Steve asked in a hopeful tone, "Will he be okay now, Doc ?", The Good Doctor said, "I am gonna refer him to Dr. Glen Parker, He is the best", Steve & the gang thanked him, & they waited for a nurse to bring them to Danny.
Steve placed a hand into Rachel's, & he said with a smile, "It's gonna be okay, Danny will make it, I know it", & Rachel knew that he was right, & the beautiful woman was glad that Danny found him, & they have a life together. She said, "I am glad that Daniel found you, Also I am glad that my kids have you in their lives", Steve was grateful for that, After 8 years, Steve & Rachel have a better relationship now, than they did back then.Charlie looked sad, He missed his daddy, & he wants to see him so badly. He was scared that he won't see him. He looked at his other favorite person, He asked with big doe eyes, "Uncle Steve, When are we gonna go see Danno ?", He sat on his lap, & cuddled with him."Soon, Buddy, They just want to make sure that he is feeling better, & then, we will get to see him soon, Buddy, I promise, Okay ?", That seemed to satisfy the little boy, as he cuddled closer to him.
Grace made sure that everyone was taken care of, & that they all had what they needed, as they waited for approval to see Danny, "Are you okay, Mom ?", The Younger Teenager asked, as she kissed the top of her head. "I am fine, Baby, I am just worried about your father", as she kissed her on the cheek. "Danno will be fine", Grace said confidently, as she comforts her.
The Nurse, Carla, came out into the waiting room, & she said with a smile on her face, "Detective Williams is settled in his room now, I can take you to his room, If you are ready to see him", Everyone nodded, & Steve said with a smile, "Yes, We do want to see him, Lead the way Please, Carla", & they followed her down the hallway towards Danny's room, so they can have some alone time with him for awhile.
They saw that their beloved loudmouth detective was hooked up to machines, & he wasn't looking like the "Danny" that they know & love, The Five-O Ohana settled in, & ready for a long night. They kept watch on their love one, & friend, as he sleeps, & recovers. The Gang will make sure that the blond knows that he is loved, & cherished. They will be around, so they can protect their friend.
Danny was moaning out, Steve was at his side instantly, He comforted him, & the blond settled back into a peaceful sleep, Everyone just talked quietly, while they are waiting for him to wake up, so he can join them in the ohana discussion, & togetherness, When it was evening time, It was a different story.
Everyone in the ohana was trying to get Steve to go home, & rest. But, He didn't want to leave Danny's side, Just in case he wakes up, & needs him. Adam said with a commanding tone, "I will be back to relieve you, You will get something to eat, & rest". Steve thanked him with a smile, & promised that he will.
Once they left, Steve went back to his lover's side, He smiled down on him, said, "Well, Handsome, It's just the two of us l", & he leaned down, & kissed him. The Five-OCommander went back to his honorary spot, & relaxed for awhile.
