Flash Challenge 2: What I Would've Entered

Start from the beginning

Weeks passed, and her reputation began to decline. Boys stopped buying panty shots from her, and most of the school had stopped business with her all together. She was officially the laughing stock of the school, but one person stayed loyal to her the whole time. Budo Masuta. He didn't care what they thought, because he knew the truth about her. Their words meant nothing to him.

One night, Info-chan came home to find her father drunk again. He was a known alcoholic, and had been ever since his reputation had been destroyed nationally. She knew what it was like to be hated now, and had even turned to drinking sometimes. Either that, or she'd self harm.
"If you'd never been born, your mother would still be here." Her father told her out of the blue, slurring his words. He probably had no clue on the effect they'd had on her. "I'd be happier than I have been at all these past seventeen years." He continued, shattering his daughter's heart. "It's your fault she died." He told her, passing out right there. She grabbed a bottle of wine, running upstairs with tears in her eyes. The alcohol will numb the pain.

The next day, Megami had asked Budo specifically to come in to school early for a one to one meeting. He didn't know what it was about, but wanted to know. As he entered the Student Council room, he saw Megami sat on her desk. He could kinda see her panties thanks to the somewhat seductive way she was sitting, but he only had eyes for Info-chan.
"What did you want to see me for, Megami?" He asked, stepping further into the room. Megami smirked and got up, walking over to him. He didn't care that he was with Info-chan, she wanted him and she was going to do everything she could to get him.
"This." She smirked. In one swift movement, she had wrapped her arms around him and kissed him passionately. He didn't kiss back, freezing up in complete shock. She pulled back as they heard a gasp from outside the room. Budo felt intense guilt as his eyes met the person who'd seen them, Info-chan. The poor girl was a mess. Scruffy hair, bags under her eyes, clearly hungover.
"Budo..." she spoke quietly, tears forming in her eyes. She had seen the kiss, and for her that was the straw that broke the camel's back. She sprinted away, shaking and crying. Budo wanted to run after her and explain everything, but Megami blocked his path.
"Let me go to her!" Budo demanded. Megami shook her head, keeping him firmly in her arms. She was one of the few students strong enough to overpower him.
"You're better off with me instead!" Megami snapped and kept him back. Budo wasn't going to stop this. He made a low growl, staring directly into her eyes.
"If anything happens to her because you kept me back, I'll never forgive you." He told her. That was enough for her to stop blocking him in. He ran out, but by that point she was gone. He started searching, determined to find her.

The redhead stood balanced on the railing, looking down at the courtyard. The three story fall would be enough to end her life, especially if she landed on the concrete. Her life had no meaning now, and she strongly believed she would be better off dead. Many students had gathered in the courtyard out of curiosity.
"DO A BACKFLIP!" Musume shouted, earning laughter from some students. A small sob escaped Info-chan's mouth as she lifted her foot, ready to jump off the railing. Budo ran out, his heart shattering when he saw her.
"Don't do it!" He pleaded, but by then it was too late. She fell backward off the roof. Budo ran to the railing and tried to save her, barely missing her. The look of pure despair on her face was etched into his mind now for the rest of his life. All he could do was watch as her body collided with the floor. There was no way she survived the fall.

Budo went into the info club room a few days later, having been too distraught to since Info-chan's death. He unlocked the door and slowly opened it, immediately feeling the warmth of the room. He went inside and locked himself in, needing time alone with the memories of their time together. An envelope was placed on her chair with Budo's name written on it. He sat down and hesitantly opened the envelope. Inside was a handwritten letter addressed to him. He read it, tears forming in her eyes.
Budo.
First of all I'm sorry. I've been hiding some things for you. My father told me its my fault my mother died, and that if I hadn't been born she would still be here. I know he was drunk, but his words were like knives.
Another thing that's been bothering me is the bullies. They've been harassing me over text for months, and sometimes Aoi and Shiromi have caused me to suffer. They wait for me to arrive before the others, then hurt me. I know you saw the video from the first attack, but there's been more. I'm terrified of them, and even telling you through a letter is scaring me in case they find it first.
My confession might mean nothing by the time you read it, but you should at least know. For as long as people have known we were dating, I've always been told that I was never good enough to be with you, that you'd be happier without me. I always admitted to myself that they were correct. I'm not and never have been good enough to be with you. The fact that you've stayed with me makes me the happiest person alive. I love you with every part of my being. No matter what happens, you'll always be a hero in my eyes.
Jōhō. (Aka: Info-chan)
Budo started crying, holding the letter close. His world had completely fallen apart. He never knew that had been happening to that extent, and that she felt like she didn't deserve his love and affection. He felt so guilty. He'd even been with her the night before her suicide, sneaking in through her window to comfort her while she was drunk. If only he had known she was hurting badly. Maybe then he could've been the hero he'd always dreamed of being, and maybe then she could've saved his damsel in distress.
