"What about the flash drive?"
"Just held confidential information"
"Anything I need to know about?"

"Then why's it confidential?"
"God Jay, it's basically just my diary. And I need it back" I said walking out
When I got out of my apartment and back outside, Ruzek asks me questions.
"Anything missing?" Ruzek asked
"Yeah about 10k and a flash drive" I said
"Does anyone know about these?"
"No. Just me"
"Anything confidential?"
"Yes the flash drive"
"And if you don't mind me asking, what's on the flash drive?"
"I keep journal entries on it about my life. And a video that I don't want to talk about"
"Alright. We'll make sure you get it back"
"Thanks"
"Alright lets get back to the precinct. Valerie hitch a ride with Jay" said Hank
"Yeah no problem" I said getting into the car with Jay

Jay's POV
Val gets into the car and I drive back to the precinct. The car ride was silent. I noticed Val playing with her fingers. She used to always do that when something's bothering her.
"Hey, you alright?" I asked
"Yeah why?" she said
"You're playing with your fingers. Something's bothering you. How I know is you used to do that when we were together"
"Well I'm fine"
"If you say so"
"Mind pulling over by the coffee shop? I really need a coffee"
"Yeah sure thing"
"You want anything?"
"I'm good thanks."
I pull over to the curb and Val gets out. She heads into the coffee shop and orders her coffee. As she waits, I see a man in a black hoodie sitting by the corner booth staring directly at her. I honk the horn to get her attention and to tell her to hurry up. She grabs her coffee and right as she starts to head out, the man in the hoodie stands up and heads towards her. Once she reached outside, he grabbed her and held a gun to her head. She screams. I get out and hold my gun out behind my vehicle.
"CHICAGO PD! DROP YOUR GUN AND PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!" I said
"JAY PLEASE HELP ME!" Val cried
"I SAID DROP YOUR GUN!" I said
The man in the hoodie releases Valerie and runs off, I run after him.

Eventually I lost him. I ran back to where Valerie was and helped her. She was wrecked.
"C'mon let's get outta here" I said helping her to the car. She was shaking badly
Once we got into the car, I drove right to the precinct. I helped Val up to the unit and met up with the team.
"What took you so long?" Hank asked
"Val was attacked" I said
"Where was this?" Erin asked
"Down by the coffee shop. Some guy got to her" I said
"Did you see who it was?" Hank asked
"He ran off before Jay got to him" Val said
"Alright, Ruzek run the cameras to see who it was so we can catch this son of a bitch" said Hank
"I just wanna go home and lay down" said Val
"Jay, take her to your place and keep an eye out for anything suspicious. We'll keep you updated " said Antonio
I shook my head and both Val and I headed out and I drove to my place.
