9. A Little Less Than Average (PART TWO)

"I know me too."

He took my hand and we kept trekking forward. I guess I can describe what I saw. White. Snow. That's it. Maybe the occasional piece of dirt within the snow, but really there wasn't much of anything to look at.

Then I sensed something. Danger. I wasn't sure why, but I knew we needed to stop. "Wait, Izzy!"

"What?"

"We can't go forward."

"Why?"

"I...I think it's dangerous."

I guess being stronger with my ability means having extra strong senses.

"Well, what do we do then?"

I dug through the snow and finally found a rock. I took it and threw it a couple yards ahead of us. I heard a faint ticking sound then all of the sudden only about fifty yards away the whole thing exploded. The power of the explosion threw us backwards a bit. We weren't hurt though.

We quickly scrambled to our feet and looked around. We were surrounded by abnormal. I read some of their minds and realized they weren't really abnormal, they were modified humans. Lucious' mutants.

One by one they quickly launched themselves at us. He had the ability of strength. They all had powerful abilities and I copied every one of them. I got strength, moving objects telepathically, fire, and elastic. I haven't used my fighting skills in a while, but I remember it all pretty well. I got hit in the face a couple times, but the mutants didn't stand a chance against Izzy and I. We're the real thing and we're made to fight.

Eventually we had them all knocked out or running away. We both were breathing heavily, but okay.

"It looks like we're getting close." Izzy said smiling.

"Yeah, I wonder how Jake is doing."

All of the sudden I felt a presence behind me and I whipped around ready to fight, but I realized it was just Jake. "Oh, right on cue."

"I found the lair. It's camouflaged though."

"Okay."

He started flying again and we had to follow. I've never flown so I kind of had to get used to that, but it really wasn't that hard.

He led us quite a ways farther from the explosion. That must just be to throw people off.

Finally Jake dipped a little back to land. We all went down and began walking. "So where is it?"

Jake went down on one knee and began to dig into the snow revealing a metal door. "Awesome!"

Izzy went and punched the door in. Looks like he copied their abilities too.

We went in quietly, but we were expecting a fight because hitting that door in was not quiet.

We looked around. "Here both of you hold onto me." Izzy said.

I read his mind. He was going to wherever Fallon was. Why Fallon?

All of the sudden we were in a room similar to the one I was kept in all those months ago.

"What are you guys doing here?!" She asked frightened.

"We're here to rescue you and everyone else."

"What? But! No! You have to leave! He wants you to come!"

I was still using my ability and that's when I heard something strange in Fallon's direction. It was really similar to what I hear in my own stomach when I'm listening to my babies, but different.
