2. A Little Less Than Average (PART TWO)

I shut the door and turned around. Izzy was lying on the bed with his hands behind his head.

I went over and plopped on the bed next to him. I laid my head on his chest. "What's going on in your head right now?" I asked.

"Can't you tell?"

"I haven't read anyone's mind in a while. I'm worried."

"You're fine."

"Are you really turned on by me right now?"

"You have no idea."

I laughed. I decided to listen. He closed his eyes and I did the same.

He was thinking about our new ability. The possibilities of it all. Then it changed to the power aspect.

That's when my eyes shot open and I stopped listening. I was bright red. "Izzy!"

His eyes opened. "Can I help you?"

I was still bright red. "Um...what was that?"

"Just my thoughts."

"Uh...that last part was a little..."

"Oh sorry, I let my mind wander. What can I say? I'm a man."

I hit his chest. "Keep your dirty thoughts to yourself." I laughed.

He chuckled too, then yawned. "Damn." He said closing his eyes.

"You must be really tired. You carried me up the mountain after all."

"Yeah. Hey you know what you should do?"

"What?"

"Kiss me."

His eyes were still closed. I leaned down and slowly pressed my lips to his. He wrapped his arms around me then rolled over to where he was on top of me.

He continued to kiss me fervently. We stopped to take a breath. "I thought you were tired?"

"I am. But if I get a chance to be with you I won't miss it."

I just chuckled and pulled his lips back onto mine.

Then a couple minutes later we both passed out onto the bed. Anticlimactic, No?

At about three in the morning I woke up and realized I was still in jeans and my t-shirt. I hate sleeping in jeans.

I got up and looked through the drawers that were in the room. I found some plain white t-shirts in one drawer. I just took my jeans and shirt off and slipped the shirt on. I was a little thirsty so I walked out of the room to find something. Maybe just a bathroom, I can drink tap.

Once I found a bathroom I went and got a drink of water. As I was walking back into my room I saw a dark shadow. I turned around to look at the person.

"Hello, Felicity." Gerald said coming out of the shadow into the moonlight.

"Hello."

"Did you need something?"

"I was just thirsty thank you."

"Alright then."

"Good bye."

"You know I think you should kiss me." He said creepily. I didn't want to. But something was making me want to. I immediately tried to read his mind. He has the ability of manipulation!

"Um...I think not."

"I think so."

I thought this would be a good time to try my new ability. I could actually see his ability. It had a red hue to it. It copied into me.

"I really think you should let go." I said calmly.

His grip loosened. "What are you doing?" He said astonished.

"Gerald, let go."

He wasn't in the room when we were all talking so he doesn't know about any of my abilities.

"Do you have the same ability as me?"

"No. But I suggest you let go right now."

Finally he released me. "How?"

"Why are you doing this? What happened to your other half?"

"I'm different than you."

"huh?"

"I don't have another half."

"How do you have your ability than?"

"I'm a half breed."

"Excuse me?"

"I'm not as strong as you or your boyfriend because I'm still half human. My mother was human; my father was a man whore. I never knew him."

"How did you get here though? Helping Professor Udelie?"

"He saved me. My mother didn't know what do to with me because I was so young and would get everything that I wanted. She knew what my father was, so she knew there was a possibility I would have some power. She did a lot of research and asked a lot of people. She finally found Professor Udelie and his wife. They took me in and taught me everything I know. I'm the first they'd ever seen that was half human. Like I said, because I'm half human, I am not as strong as you or any one of you."

My eyes were wide. "That's possible?"

"Obviously." He said pointing to himself.

"Wow, I can't believe it. I'm sorry. I copied your ability and used it against you. That's how I got you to get away. But why the hell did you do that anyways? You know that my boyfriend is right through this door! And wait backup, how come you don't have to have a soul mate?"

"I don't know. I really like you. And it's because there's barely any half breeds and there's such a low amount of power it's activated by the love of our parents. Not a kiss or anything."

"Thanks crazy."

"I know. I barely understand it all."

I yawned. "Well, goodnight Gerald. If you ever try to kiss me again I'll tear your arm off, okay?"

He chuckled. "Alright, goodnight."

I walked back into the room and got in bed. I wrapped my arms around Izzy . It did take me a while to fall asleep. Especially with all that new information.

Half breed? I never even knew that was possible. And now with the information about how my new ability works. It's just too much for me to take. I have so much pressure because I have to stay alive. If I die Izzy dies too. Sometimes I feel like I wish I was normal again. Not all this pressure and crap.

I rolled over and sighed. I ended up falling asleep finally to the sound of Izzy's soft breaths in my hair.

**Sorry it's taking so long. =( I've been so busy and tired and just haven't had the drive to write. I'll try and post asap, but i'm really sorry if i don't. On the bright side i just got my first CAR! It's a 2003 Toyota Matrix with a hatchback lol. It's actually a pretty nifty little car. =D Peace!**
