Hazel brown eyes
Love staring at me.
They increase my confidence,
Appreciating my beauty.
Rose-colored lips
Love to smile at me.
They tell me to take lightly
All the trials approaching.
A pair of large, strong hands
Securely hold my sweaty palms.
They give me enough assurance
That with you and God, I'll overcome.
Firm, squared shoulders
You're always ready to offer
Whenever you see me crying,
Showing me you're not leaving.
Two slightly muscled arms
Love enclosing me in a hug
They shield me from any harm,
Comforting me with their warmth.
A broad, welcoming chest
Screams of your strength.
It gives me a place to rest
When I feel the weakest.
A friend I thought I'd never have
A wonderful blessing from above.
The guy I thought I'd never ever like
Now holds a special place in my life.
I should only see you as a brother
But I've gone beyond the border.
I have singled you out from others,
Treated you as a very special friend.
I have gone to the point that I wanted to stop
But I just can't help myself from falling so hard.
Do I need to ask for more to come
If I'm happy with just you, my love?
I'm grateful to God for reminding me
That what we have is a precious thing.
So I backed down, guarded my heart.
The best of friends, that's what we are.
I've always had God, when I have none
And He gave me you, His faithful one.
He uses your hands to give me comfort.
And uses your shoulder for me to cry on.
