We finally reached the wall of Moria after a hellish trip over the mountains and made for the gate, Ithilden.

"It reads 'Doors of Durin. Lord of Moria' speak friend, and enter" Gandalf translated.

"What do you suppose that means?" Merry asked.

"It could mean anything, Merry. Dwarves have.... unique ways to hide doors" I answered remembering the riddle for the hidden door of Erebor.

Gandalf tried to open the gates using few tries but it didn't budge so they camped outside the doors. Aragorn, Boromir a d I watched the water as it rippled after Pippin threw a rock in it.

"There is something big and bad in there. I tell you" I whispered to Aragorn.

"....what's the Elvish word for friend?" Frodo asked.

"Mellon" Gandalf answered and instantly the doors opened. They started walking in but I made sure to be the last to enter.

"Soon, Master Elf, you will enjoy the fabled hospitality of the dwarves. Roaring fires, melt beer, r-ripe meat off the bone! This my friend is the home of my cousin Balin. And they call it a mine. A mine!" Gimli said.

"This is no mine. It's a tomb." Boromir said looking at the remains of Dwarves.
Gimli broke down instantly.

"Goblins" Legolas announced as he looked at an arrow head and in an instant he, Aragorn and Boromir pulled the weapons out.

"We make for the Gap of Rohan. We should never have come here. Now, get out of here. Get out!" Boromir ordered.

"No! Stay we can't leave" I shouted and as if in cue a tentacle grabbed at Frodo's leg but I jumped at it slicing it only for another to grab me dragging me to the water. I dug her claws at the tentacle as Legolas shot at the one holding me making it let go and I fell down and Aragorn instantly took hold of me and ran toward the cave all while shouting 'run!' With me still in his arms.

"We now have no choice. We must face the long dark of Moria. Be on your guard. There are older and fouler things than orcs in the deep places of the world." Gandalf said walking deeper into Moria. "Careful now. It's a four days journey to the other side we must go by unnoticed" Gandalf said.

"Aragorn, you can put me down" I said.

"Sorry" he said placing me down on my feet and I just smiled.

I walked behind Aragorn and in front of Boromir. Sword drawn. "If you don't mind me asking, how did you know it was there?" Boromir asked.

"I am a half skin-changer. I smelled it" I answered.

"What's the other half?" Aragorn asked.

"Dunedain" she answered.

"Really? Whose child are you?" Aragorn asked.

"Isildur son of Arador" I answered and he instantly stopped turning toward me eyes wide.

"Isildur is the younger brother of Arathorn, my father." He said.

"Yes, I am your cousin" I smiled, "Let's go or they will leave us" I said urging him to walk. The company walked for a long while until we reached a place where Gandalf stopped.

"Let me risk more light" he said and his stick glowed even more revealing the halls of Moria. "Behold the great realm and dwarf-cuty of Dwarrowdelf." He said.

"It's beautiful" I whispered in awe.

"That's an eye opener no doubt" Sam said.

"Ah!" Gimili shouted running toward a room.

"Gimli!" Gandalf shouted and I followed him instantly only to freeze in front of the tomb next to him. Sinking to my knees.

"N-No! Uncle Balin!" I cried holding Gimli.

"Here lies Balin, son of Fundin. Lord of Moria" Gandalf read, "He is dead, then." He said and it was obvious he was sad.
I held onto Gimli ignoring them all as Gandalf read from a diary he found.

A loud clatter made them turn around to see Pippin by an old well and instantly voices started around.

"Fool of a Took! Throw yourself in next time, and rid us of your stupidity." Gandalf scolded snatching his hat and wand out of the Hobbit's hands.

"They're coming" I whispered standing up a hand on my sword.

We fought the Goblins who entered the room we were in killing them all but one of them stabbed Frodo making me lose it and jump at it slashing at its neck until finally killing it.

"Frodo!" I shouted running towards them.

"He's alive" Sam said happy tears falling from his eyes.

"I am alive. I am not hurt." Frodo said and I took a deep breath in.

"You should be dead. This spear could skewer a wild boar." Aragorn said in shock.

"I think there is more to this Hobbit than meets the eye" Gandalf said and Frodo opened his shirt showing the Mithril shirt.

"Mithril" Gimli whispered.

"Bilbo gave it to you." I whispered hugging the Hobbit hard.

"Let's go before they are back." Legolas said.

We ran out of the room and through the corridors our pursuits changed from small creepy Goblins to one huge Balrog. Gandalf fought it only to fall from the bridge with the Balrog. I was so devastated that Legolas had to carry me out of there.
