The whole ride home I could barely focus. The excitement was eating me up alive and I was eager to tell Josh.

I arrived and parked my car in the parking lot of our apartment. I hurried inside and up the elevator as it took me to the 3rd floor. Once the elevator door slid open, I raced out and starting knocking non stop on the door.

"I'm coming!" He shouted, obviously annoyed. I smiled and bit down on my bottom lip as the door swung up, revealing my slightly annoyed boyfriend. His expression completely changed once he saw it was me and he smiled wide. "Did you get it?" He asked cautiously.

I took a few moments before nodding and jumping into his arms. He held me tightly against him and closed the door with his foot. He spun me as I started to giggle into his shoulder.

"I'm so proud of you Sky! I knew you could do it." He said, placing me back on the ground and slightly pulling away from the embrace to look at me.

"Oh my gosh, I was so nervous. They literally took FOREVER to finally tell us. There was only 12 of us by the end and ugh.. I just can't believe I did it!" I shrieked, completely at a loss for words. He started to chuckle and kissed my cheek.

"You know... your parents would've be so proud." He said softly, removing a piece of hair from my face. I put on a small smile and nodded. "I know."

My parents passed away in a car accident when I was only 2 years old. They went away for the weekend just to have some time for themselves and left me at my aunt's house just for the 3 days that they would be gone, but I ended up staying at my aunt's house for the rest of my life.

At that time of course, I didn't understand what was happening until I was 5 years old and I saw other little girls with their moms and dads, and I would always ask my aunt, "When are mommy and daddy coming back?" and she burst into tears.

She told me that my mom and dad were with the angels up in the sky and that they were watching over me. Even though I was five, I knew exactly what she meant. I knew that just meant they weren't coming back.

"Sky?" Josh asked. I blinked a few times after getting lost in my thoughts about my parents.

"Yeah sorry... I just started thinking..." I mumbled, not making any sense. He gave me a puzzled look but quickly shook it off as he placed his lips on mine. I smiled in the kiss as he pulled me against him tighter. It got intense as he started making his way upstairs with me in his arms.

I pulled back a little and giggled before placing my lips on his again.

He wasted no time once we got into the room. He gently placed me on the bed as he crawled on top of me. His hands exploring my body as my legs wrapped around his waist. His hand snaked under my shirt until I stopped him.

"Josh..." I spoke softly, putting a hand to his chest. He sighed and removed himself from me. I sat up and was faced with his back as he sat at the edge of the bed. I bit the inside of my cheek and rubbed my arm.

"All the damn time. Don't start something if you can't end it." He spoke harshly and stormed out of the room. I sat there speechless and sighed.

Josh and I have never been sexually intimate. Mostly because I just don't feel ready. We've been best friends since we were little, but we've been dating for about a year and half. I trust and love him with all my heart but... this is my last piece of innocence and call me old fashioned but, it's something I want to be really careful with.

My phone ringing interrupted my thoughts. I grabbed it and saw it was Jeff. I smiled and picked up.

"Hey hey!" He yelled cheerfully. I giggled. "What's up Jeff?" I held the phone to my ear as I moved from off the bed and looked out the window.
