(Okay so this is the first part. I am fairly okay with it but further refining may occure depending on the feed back I get from you all. If the feed back is good I'll post anouther chapter. Sound Fair??? PS I know this is fairly long for a prologue but please bare with me this is simply what I invisioned. Thanks mwaz)
It was still warm from late summer sun but gazing at the trees I could see that autumn was approaching. All the animals and insects were moving, changing, adapting to this fact of life. Much like a butterfly. You can enjoy being a worm as much as you like but you will become something better, greater and more beautiful.

The first day at high school is always portrayed as the worst day in your entire high school career. In movies you will see one or two new students walking in and suddenly the whole school would go into absolute silence. All the teenagers will give the newbies death stares while whispering and plotting their demise.
As much as I love drama, my first day was not cut from one of those movies. Walking in with me was my best friend Leo. He and I had been friends since preschool when I put sand down his back. As it turned out we lived right next door to each other. People sometime mistook us for brother and sister because we went everywhere with each other. As we hit fourth grade we began walking to school together. But today was the first day of high school.
"Are you excited?" I asked on the steps of Greenstone High
"No!" said the tall boy next to me, stopping to look at me with his almost white, blue eyes "have you seen the size of the grade 12's Air? They are huge!"
"We aren't exactly short either."
We had been tallest gr7s our primary school had ever had "When you get to matric you will probably be a foot taller than them if not more." I said watching a group of them by the stairs "Now come on. I want to see where my classes are." I said walking into the school entrance.
Looking around the students were either talking by their lockers or they were walking to their class. The first thing you notice is the groups. First you might see the normal stereotypical groups but then there are groups within groups. Like the different grades and status each one has in the hierarchy.
"High school" I sighed smiling to myself then looked to my friend.
"What class did you say you were in?" Leo had this habit of touching his hair when he was nervous. Two seconds later it would just fall back it to its original position. It half made me laugh and half want to buy him a multicolored clip collection.
"H119. I think it's the second floor of that building over there." I pointed to a large brick faced building to the left of us though a closed window "What class are you in?"
"B40." Leo sighed.
We had always been in the same class in primary school. I knew we were bound to be split up sometime during high school. With all new beginnings there has to be an ending.
But did it have to be in the first year?
The bell rang the hallway filled with people and there was a mad dash of body's flying past us. "See you at break" Leo said before he joined them.
"See you at break" I shouted back before running in opposite direction for my own class.

"So how was your first day?" Leo's mother said putting two plates of her famous burnt waffles in front Leo and me. I had always liked Leo's mother, and it definitely was not because of her food but rather for the way she always seemed happy. It made her seem like no matter what was happening she knew the end result and everything was going to be fine.
