i walked into the quant cafe tucked under brooklyn and took a seat across from my best friend aaliyah.

"i ordered you a chai latte" she said before pushing it in my direction

i shrugged before taking a sip of the bittersweet beverage

"no. we are going out" aaliyah smiled
