  My palms got sweaty fast, I turned to max who was trying to look out the window without getting too close. He uncovered my mouth and I started breathing quickly. Max turned around looking angry as usual."Jesus fucking Christ You sound like a panting dog," Max whispered angrily. He tried covering my mouth again.

  "Stop, your hands are sweaty," I whisper yelled. He turned red.

  "F-fuck you, it's hot in here. I'm trying to help us both not get caught," He argued. Still trying to cover my mouth. I dodged his hands and managed to grab his wrist. I furrowed my eyebrows.

  "Maybe if we just stayed at camp we wouldn't be in this mess," I tried to grab his other wrist. But he got out of my grip. Then he grabbed my hands and he tried to push me down and I pushed up.

  "Well oops sorry for trying to help you get out of that shit show of a camp," He got red again and glared at me. He grabbed me by the shoulders and slammed me down onto the floor of the small compartment. And then the door opened and as my eyes adjusted I could see David's face that went from upset to surprised.

  "Max, you've run off for the last—" max cut him off.

  "No fuck you, David." He got out of the car, "I was going to profess my love for her, b-but YOU ruined it." Max looked down at the dirt and kicked a rock in defeat. I looked up at David and he was obviously distraught and Gwen who was confused.

  "Max I didn't mean to-, we were just worried," David stuttered.

  "Max it's ok to want some alone time just tell us ahead of time," Gwen spoke. Max spoke out again without looking up.

  "Oh Y/N," he said softly, then quickly turned around and grabbed my hand. He looked at me, smiled softly, then up at David.

  "Oh, Max!" David wiped a tear away and Gwen smiled softly. I was still confused and while we walked to camp Max wouldn't let go even when the sweaty-ness our palms got super obvious. The question was did he really like me. So I started picking apart every part of what had happened in the past few hours. He yelled at me and seemed angry all the time. I thought he was just using me, but he blushed that one time, or maybe that was just him getting red from anger. And nothing made sense and maybe nothing would make sense when it came to Max. I looked at him as I trailed behind him still holding on.

 

  "Now that you two are found all's that's left is to find Neil Nikki and space kid," Gwen said slumping over.

  "Oh cheer up Gwen at least the rest of the kids are okay! They are probably somewhere around here." David smiled. "Well, we'll leave you to be!" David said while pushing Gwen along by the shoulders. They walked out of site and I turned to max. But before I could say anything he spoke.

  "Okay that's enough of that," He pulled his hand away from mine and wiped it on his hoodie.

  "What.?" I asked.

  "I don't actually like you dipshit, "He looked at me with an empty gaze.

  "What was all that then?." I took a step back.

  "It's called having to participate in theater camp," Max began walking away. I jogged closer to him. He turned around, stopping in his tracks. "Look I'm trying to get out and looks like you're not," he pushed me, "I'm not having anyone ruin it for me. I can't gather information to escape with David and Gwen watching my every move because I got caught. I needed a distraction 'aka' you and the scene I made," he rolled his eyes and continued to walk. "Anyways if David asks we're a thing, any other time fuck off," I stayed sitting on the grass, watching him walk away. Then I
laid down on the grass, it was calming — so the bug bites were worth it. I felt all choked up but why for him, he's such an asshole. I closed my eyes and waited for nothing in particular really.

3rd:

  Nerris walked out of the mess hall the first to exit because David and Gwen wouldn't let anyone leave until they told them if they knew where Neil Nikki and space kid was. Nerris managed to slip away. She was making her way to her tower when she saw you laying on the grass in the distance. She started running towards you. "DON'T WORRY Y/N AFTER THE FIRST TIME YOULL GET USED TO IT!" She shouted. You got up now sitting the blood rushing to your head.

  "W-what?" Nerris stood in front of you. "Did nurf hurt you? Are you alright! I can heal you we just gotta get to my tower," She said worriedly. You smiled.

  "I'm fine, and no nurf didn't do anything to me," You said.

  "Well, then why are you just laying there?" Nerris asked.
 
"I dunno I forgot which tent was mine and I just wanted to sit," you made up an excuse.

  "We are tent buddies so I can show you where it is!" She smiled.

  "That would be great," Nerris held out her hand and you grabbed it and got up and started walking.

  "Oh yea about nurf, watch out for him. Even I, a powerful mage can not defend myself against him," she frowned.

  "What about max, what's his deal.?" Y/n asked.

  "Oh he's angry a lot you'll get used to him, don't take anything he says to heart,"

  "Oh, and who are Nikki, Neil, and space kid?" She asked.
 
  "Oh they usually hang out with max but no one's really sure where they headed off to. You'll probably see them around." She responded. They both stood in front of a tent. "This is it! I advise you tread carefully I lost a few of my dice. I will be at my tower if you need me!" Nerris waved as she ran in the opposite direction. Y/n walked into the tent and found her bags. She sighed and took off her shoes. She laid on the bed and started thinking.

Y/n:

Nerris seems nice, I guess Max is just mean about everything. He's such an asshole like I never did anything to him, I've only been here a few hours and he already hates me. Not only do I have to worry about Max but also that Nurf guy. I don't want to hate anyone and I don't want anyone to hate me. I got up out of my bed and looked at my shoes. Fuck it I have more socks. I walked out of the tent, maybe I just need to get my mind off of him. I looked out the tent and speak of the devil. He was walking towards the mess hall so I guess going there isn't an option. I quickly got back into the tent seeing that the sun was going to set soon. I walked over to my bag and grabbed a sweater. It was f/c and warm—it will probably get cold as the night sets in—so I tied it around my waist and grabbed a flashlight, just Incase it's dark when I come back. And headed out of the tent  I remember David took us to a pier during the tour, watching the sunset there sounds nice might as well go.

I walked down and (after getting lost for the second time) I could finally see the water. When I heard rustling coming from the forest nearby. Probably an animal so I started walking faster.

  "Hey, I've never seen you around here!" I heard a girl say. I turned around scared. She had mint green hair and wore red overalls.

  "Y-yea um I'm new, I came here just a while ago." I choked out.

  "Sorry about scaring you just being the alpha and all, anyways I'm Nikki!" She said happily.  

  Oh! David and Gwen are looking for you," My brain clicked.

  "Yea I know," She said giggling.

  "Are you gonna go back to camp?" I asked.

  "Nah not now I'm kinda doing something," she replied, "wanna see something cool?!" She asked and her eyes widened. Well, I should have been hesitant but oh well. "Yea Okay." I smiled. She reached out and grabbed my wrist and started running into the forest, and I followed behind her.
