I've been up all night thinking about Raven. I hate how this man tries to claim sovereignty over her and her life. I know she doesn't deserve this, but for the life of me I don't understand why she just won't press charges on him and be done!! Why keep putting up with him? I don't know...it's like I'm torn because I want to help, but how can you truly help someone who doesn't wanna help their self. Whatever. I roll over to my right side and finally fall asleep like a new born.
It's 12pm and the birds are louder than the tv in the next room. I slowly get up while wiping my left eye to get the cold out. I look to my right to see Riley still knocked out with both arms up and her mouth wide open. Thank God it's my day off. I think I'll let her stay home with me today until her dad comes to get her for the weekend. I slide down and plop the back of my head back on my pillow. Leaning over I grasp my phone to check my messages. As always my phone is dry as hell. I got one text from Rich that says 'Rise and shine' but I'm not responding. I hate when men are capricious. I haven't heard from him since the movie date. I push my home button and stare at my background screen for a while. Aw what the hell! I click tinder to see over five matches and two messages.
The first message is a GIF of Snoop Dog licking his lips and winking. Thot! I click un-match without hesitation. The second message is some hot Peruvian guy named David. I click the icon to read his message: 'Hello Bonita! My name is David. I would love a moment of your time to get to know you a little bit, if that's okay with you.' Ehhh! Why not! Most of these dudes hit me with the 'wassup', 'hey sexy' or the young ones hit me with the emojis...like that's actual English. I respond: 'Hey, how are you? I don't mind you getting to know me at all. Thank you for taking the time to write an actual message. Lol'

Me and David have been talking all day! He is hilarious!! It's something about him. He's a little older..okay a lot older. Like "45th savage" older. And yes I said that with a British accent. Don't ask why. I am not used to anyone that old...at all. The oldest I've dated was 32 and that's it.
David seems legit though. Through his sarcastic jokes he actually has something to offer. Not saying it selfishly...but things to offer that benefit towards my future. His cousin owns an art gallery that's 20 min away from my house. Lord knows my art has been stagnant but that's motivation to start again. I especially want to start painting. His close friend is a manager at Paul Mitchell and he shot him a recommendation text while we were on the phone. Maybe that can be the breakthrough for Raven and I. He just has a lot of things going on that I need in my life. Established, and willing to piece my future together. Even when I dropped Riley off to her dad, he talked to me the whole half and hour Briggs was late. When Mr. CP pulled up, he respectfully insisted I call him back after I handle my co parenting duties. On the way back home I refrained from calling him back. I wanted to wait until I got home so I didn't seem eager.
"I really want to see you." I blush as I roll over on my stomach. Then I use the arm I lay on to pull my comforter over my shoulder. You want to see me? Boy I...okay I think I want to see you too. He only changed my mind because of his intriguing accent.
"I want to see you too." I bite my index finger. A fly on the wall could see my white teeth through their photoreceptors. Ugh! I'm not ready! He could be crazy as hell for God sake..but I'm not gonna lie. He seems pretty normal. Who knows! I may turn him into my sugar daddy if he's not my type but tolerable. I mute the phone to chuckle so he doesn't think I'm schizophrenic.
"Come on mami! Let's go out for a drink! I know a bar place downtown that's awesome. Nice vibes and great food. Do you like reggae?"
I lay my arms out like I'm about to make a snow angel.
I put the phone back to my ear before saying, "I love it!!"
"Then its a date?" I get really quiet on his end. On my end of the phone, I'm biting in my pillow and slamming my face in it a couple times on mute.
