Min Yoongi slams the classroom door open and rushes in, pretending to be clueless of his classmates' stares.
"Can you at least apologize, Min. Yoon. Gi." The teacher emphasizes rudely. The cold and soulless stare Mr. Choi inherited sunk deep into Yoongi's orbs, yet the student remains unfazed. Mr. Choi has been Yoongi's biology teacher ever since his first year. He complained too many times that he was never here when teaching yet he was always present when it came to important periods. What splits the teacher's brain in oblivion is how is this young lad getting such good grades despite ghosting his attendance in class.
The teacher was getting stressed at this point, he needed him to throw at him whatsoever stuck under his sleeves.
"I'm going to have to keep you after class tonight sir." He sighs with a low and shabby breath, exhausted of the young student's behaviour. His surprisingly delicate stubby fingers pushes his round glasses a bit higher on his nose bridge, and he keeps rambling onto his anecdotes once again.
Yoongi was back in school three days later than he was supposed to. It wasn't such a big deal, but we can say that the old man wasn't a nice one with latecomers, especially after such a long winter break and a new semester starting. Yoongi wasn't in class very often either, so he casually spent a third quarter of his college years getting homeschooled by his sister while leaving heavy dust accumulate on his usual desk.
I'm just here for the degree, the rest is junk to leave here— as he always says.
Pastel blue haired Yoongi goes on to his cornered desk only to be surprised from what he's seeing on his way. His eyebrows twitch in intrigue.
Almost gigantic orbs as doe as pearls were staring back into his in awe, sharing the same questioning grimaces.
"Why— just why are you wearing a pet cone? You're just gonna come to school with a cosplay on?" He laughs off quietly. The girl looks even more confused and Yoongi suddenly couldn't stop staring at her...
Her eyes... were white?
She had irises, like possibly everyone would, but they were abnormally white for a 'normal' person to have. Heck, even her pupils had the effects of a black hole. The young man almost felt dizzy from staring too much into them.
He eventually shakes his head with creased eyebrows and squinting eyes. He's clearly agitated, so he finally sits to his seat right behind her while leaving a comment.
"Those contacts look way too realistic..." He murmurs.
Hours passed on like days on the clock. The students were knocked out on their desks, some of them drooling on their notebooks by accident as the teacher kept babbling on and on about the frog's diverse species this time.
Yoongi had plenty of time to contemplate her. Her whole outfit palette was nothing but a grand majority of white with only one or two streaks of blackness from a very few strands of her hair. Her extremely pale ivory-ish skin was also quite questionable, it almost made Yoongi think that he was on a movie set for a ghost story.
He caught her throwing glances at his direction a couple of times and noticed that even her eyelashes and her eyebrows were white.
She went overboard on that cosplay makeup shit..., Yoongi thought. He decides to ask.
His thin fingers comes in touch with the girl's rough material of her dress and she turns around for the umpteenth time and finally keeps her attention on him.
She hums as if she asked what was wrong. Yoongi breathes in shakily and he finally speaks after a while.
"That's a really nice cosplay you have there," he whispers loudly, "but I think you're pretty late to celebrate Halloween in winter." the pale being looks at him, confusion taking over her face once again and Yoongi escapes squeaking noises as he giggles through his breath.
"It's January for fuck's sake, what are you doing? Halloween passed months ago from now!" The boy squeaks again. Instead of answering, she shakes her head and a grin plasters her childish face.
"What's your name?" She asks in a foreign accent. That's when Yoongi understands that she's not from here. His mouth shapes an O and everything magically makes sense now.
"My. name. is. Min. Yoon. Gi., What. about. you?" He emphasizes profusely on each syllables, even though it was obvious that it's useless. She rolled her eyes playfully and as she answered, the school bell rang out loud and brouhahas invaded the class. He could only hear her faintly, so he asks to talk louder. Instead , she leans towards Yoongi's face with only inches of space between them and she whispers.
"Krys is my name..."
Her voice resonated in his head as his eyes were hypnotized into hers, the girl's strands of hair suddenly floating ironically. She looked like a goddess and time seemed like it slowed down, as Yoongi thought so. He was so mesmerized that he couldn't realize that the class was already empty and that Mr. Choi was seeking his attention.
"Yoongi, sir! What an ignorant kid you are, jeez!" He grumbles with something close to anger.
One thing Yoongi doesn't know is that while he was 'talking' to the out-of-ordinary girl, another student beside her seat was looking at Yoongi with orbs full of intrigue. He wondered who was he talking to since the desk in front of him was empty... Yet, he heard a faint and thin voice talking as if someone was actually there, muttering in his ear.
The bell rang through what he thought were hallucinations from the long and tiring day, so he shakes it off and swings his backpack to his shoulder to leave the school grounds quietly.
