It was a dark and stormy night, and I was left here yet again, thinking about my life.

My name is Levine Hobbs and Im a 16 year old with a darker caramel skin and black long hair and I don't really go out much.

Im always home with my mom Emily Hobbs and my 2 brothers, Stephen Hobbs; 14, and Trey Hobbs; 8. My dad, Troy Hobbs is not usually home because of work but when he is home we have a blast.

I have a past of not really giving ignorant people the time of day and giving my attention, which causes people to call me rude.

Which is definitely not true, I mean get to know me, and you'll see how nice and caring I am. But I guess no one ever cared enough to get to know and bring that character out.

But I didn't care, I mean I didn't like those people at my school anyways. They never gave me the time of day and I guess I'll do the same.

I mean people say stupid, arrogant things. I mean tell me, would you put up with that?

Tomorrow was going to be the last day and I, honestly couldn't wait. All those people were either really rude or really ignorant. I couldn't stand it.

But even though im complaining, I still had some friends I was going to miss.

But yet, I never thought they actually cared for me, they probably just liked the package of entertainment I brought to them.

Whatever, I didn't care. If I brought a certain entertainment they like, I didn't matter because at least I was acknowledged.

Anyways, I was lost in my thoughts yet again until i found myself in a deep slumber.

"Levine! Get up! Its your last day of school!", My mother called. While yanking the bed sheets away from me.

I loved my mother, but sometimes she could be so annoying. I guess its my fault for being such a handful of stress at my part.

I groaned in annoyance and got out of bed and into the shower.

After that, I decided to wear aztec print leggings with a pink sweater and combat boots. I put on only mascara and eye liner, I was never really into wearing makeup.

" Bye mom! Im headed for school!", I say to my mother and grabbing a banana with me.

"Bye Hunny", she said with a kiss to the forehead. And with that, I was headed out of the doorway with my earphones in.

As I was on my way to the bus stop, I saw a moving truck and a boy that looked my age caught my eye.

I didnt see his face since he was facing his back towards me, but i saw that he was dark skin but not to dark, had a small afro and was wearing a white t-shirt, black jeans, and Nikes. By the looks of it he seemed cool, certainly what I don't see in this small town.

You see I live in a small town in Atlanta, Georgia. And I also live in a small neighborhood. So you dont really see that much people that dont look uptight or have any kids move in.

I only have one friend in this neighborhood, Tina, but sadly she doesn't go to my school. And some kid name Derek who was also my age but hanged out with my little brother who was in middle school, Stephen.

I studied the boy real carefully. Something about him infatuated me deeply. I don't know, he seemed mysterious, like he had a past of misery. His body movement told it all.

I was so lost in my thoughts that I hadn't seen my bus driver was waiting for me to enter the bus. "Oops! Sorry!", I said as he rolled his eyes.

I put my head on the window and continued staring at the unknown boy. I wanted to know more about him.

I don't know, something about him made him look worth your time.

I looked away and let the music in my earphones take me to a far away place.
