I wake up to see the familiar face of Ana.
"I forgive you," she says curtly. "Let's get back to our numbers, shall we?"
It's easier this way. She gives me purpose. My life has meaning. Just focus on numbers. Nothing else matters.
"Okay," I tell her, smiling. "I'm sorry I ever tried to leave you."
"It's fine. Just don't do it again." She gives me a smile, but it feels cold. "What's good again?"
"Water," I reply. "Its number is 0."
