*skip back to before the rock throwing*

After hanging out with Ivy, I wanted to spend every last second with her.

When I got home, she was on my mind and I simply couldn't get rid of the thought of her.

So, I went to her house. And here I am, standing outside of her bedroom window.

Because I wanted to see her again.

Pathetic, right?

But Ivy is worth it.

I picked up some rocks from the ground before throwing a single one at her window.

I waited and waited to see if she would come.

Nothing.

I sighed and tried again.

This time, I saw her prop open the window before looking out of it.

I watched as she pushed her hair back out of her face.

Beautiful.

She then looked down at me. I smiled at the sight of her.

"Ivy!" I shouted at her.

I love saying her name.

She waved back to me and my heart skipped a beat.

"What are you doing here?" She asked with a small laugh.

I tried to be cool and think of some sly reply to make her smile.

"I just wanted to see you again."

The truth fell out of my mouth like a bad tasting food.

Luckily, Ivy liked what I said.

Seeing her smile again gave me rush of adrenaline.

"Can I come up?" I asked quickly.

She replied even faster than I asked.

She nodded before speaking again. "Come through the front door, I'll meet you down there."

Before I could say something again, she closed the window and was gone.

I walked around to the front door, thinking of something to say to her.

I should hide.

I ran into a bush and hid. Just for Ivy.

A few seconds later, I heard the front door open.

"Wyatt?" Ivy shouted.

It took every nerve in my body not to reply to her soft voice.

"Wyaaaaatt." I heard her call out again.

I watched as she started walking up  and down the sidewalk.

When I saw that she was looking a different direction, I ran into her house.

That sounds weird, I know, but I'd seriously do anything to put a smile on that beautiful girl's face.

I stood at the counter and waited for her to come back inside.

When I heard the handle shake and the door swung open, my heart sped up.

She let out a sigh as see closed the door behind her.

I made her sad.

I quickly thought of something to say.

"Ivy." I said softly as I waved to her.

The look on her face was priceless. She lightened up.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

She was glowing in that moment, and I'm sure I looked just the same.

"Of course!" She said back as she ran into my arms.

I held her tight. I could feel her heart lightly beating.

I then heard a squeal coming from the stairs.

I looked at Ivy, confused. She was face palming as she mouthed the word 'mom'.

"Ohhhhhhh." I whispered back.

I saw a woman walk out from hiding in the stairwell.

"I couldn't help by overhear, so you guys are dating now, huh?"

Ivy nodded as she rested her head back in my chest.

I squeezed her lightly as she replied.

"Yeah, by the way, this is Wyatt."

I let go of Ivy and shook her mom's hand.

"I've heard so much about you, it's nice to finally meet you!"

I smiled and looked back at Ivy, who's face had become slightly red from embarrassment.

"Nice to meet you too!"

"Well mom, we're going to go upstairs."
I felt Ivy grab my hand.

"You two have fun!"

Ivy dragged me up the stairs and to her room as I followed.

"So this is my room, and this is my desk, and here's my dresser....." She went on and on, but of course I couldn't focus. I was paying too much attention to her face and how amazing it looked.

I snapped back to reality (oh, there goes gravity) and listened to what she was saying.

"....And yeah, that basically sums up my room! What do you want to do?"

"Hmmmm. How about—"

Before I could suggest anything, my phone rang.

I held my finger up, telling her to wait, as I laughed softly and nervously.

I took my phone out of my pocket and saw that it was my mom.

I accepted the call and put the phone to my ear.

"Mom?" I said into the speaker.

I'm sad because I had a really good book idea a couple of days ago and I was super pumped about it but I forgot what it was
