Chapter 36: The Road Ahead

Start from the beginning

Ruzi who has recently turned 3 years old, made his way towards the youth. His small body ran and jumped within the forest in an agile manner, Ruzi's body had a great foundation from the very beginning and his fast growth rate made him look like a kid around 5 years old.

Ruzi circled around the youth, curiously seizing him up.

While I was anxiously hiding in the shadows, ready to pounce on that disciple if he ever had an ounce of strength left within him that could potentially harm my Little Ruzi.

Ruzi then squatted down, he picks up a nearby twig, he used it to poke the half-dead abandoned disciple.

"Ah! F---" Before he could finish his curse word, my Qi had already blocked his throat.

I jumped out from my hiding place and stood behind Ruzi. Scooping up his little body, I lightly scolded him,

"Why did you wander around by yourself?" I said in a disapproving manner.

'Don't you know that you almost stepped on the path of a cannon fodder there?!' I shouted inside my head.

"I'm sorry~" Ruzi who was suddenly scooped up was shocked but as he felt my familiar aura, he immediately brightly laughed and apologized.

I directed my gaze at the almost half-dead disciple. Looking at the tattered Outer Robes that he is wearing and his face that looks like a pig face from being swollen, and looking at his meridians that are currently blocked---

'Dude, why do I feel like I'm a Hidden Expert that goes and saves little mc's who have yet awaken their prowess?! Am I perhaps their supposed hidden master, a cheat?!' I thought as I extended my hands and healed his physical body.

After healing the youth I immediately stood up and left with Ruzi. Healing this youth is all thanks to his Luck, afterall I do not want Ruzi to become apathetic at such a young age.

As to that youth, his Clan would probably pick him up later on, as to the war between the Xi Sect and that kid's Clan, I don't want to know. I have already extended my helping hand to that youth.

After going back to our Carriage I immediately modified it and turned it into a shockproof one. Once inside we would not feel the vibration produced by strong collision outside.

"Young Mistress, you really come up with the most brilliant ideas! But, why did you only install them now?" Sona curiously asked. We have after all (except Ruzi, since I had continuously provided him a barrier when he is inside a carriage) experienced the torturous journey of transportation through the carriage.

Can I say, that I actually only remembered this idea just some time ago?

I replied her question with a dry laugh, before proceeding to bind the Magical Beast that Sona has recently caught. After binding the Magical Beast, I then replaced our horse with Magical Beast.

I had thought that with our revised carriage we would certainly attract the attention of some eccentric cultivator.

But days passed quietly and we were able to peacefully travel. In just one week we were able to arrive at the borderline of Hou Kingdom.

We stopped at the secluded area to change our mount to a normal horse.

"Sona go the nearby village and purchase some horse," I said as I waved my hands and free the Magical Beast from it's bind. The Magical Beast feeling the restraint on him going loose, immediately fled back to the Mountain.

"Yes." Sona slightly bowed down and disappeared.

'Oh.' seeing at how Sona had performed the 'skill' I had taught her I couldn't help but smile, It seems like her training has finally bore some fruit!

I peeked at Ruzi's figure inside the carriage, his small figure is peacefully sitting down in a lotus position. The Qi flowing smoothly on his meridians to his dantian.

'Ah, it really is peaceful.' I sighed and smiled, looking up towards the sky, I couldn't help but anticipate for the adventure I had planned.

---

After Sona bought the horse, we immediately set out and arrived at the Hou Kingdom.

'There shouldn't be anymore MC material here, right? I just met one in the last Kingdom afterall,' As we near the Hou Kingdom the thought couldn't help but flash in my head.

At the borderline of the Hou Kingdom, we had to wait in a long line almost forming S curve from going back and forth. I looked at the long lane and estimated that with our current situation it would already be lucky for us if we were able to get inside the Hou Kingdom in three days.

We had no choice but to wait for three days before we were finally able to reach the gate and enter the Kingdom. In the Hou Kingdom, immigrates/tourist or anyone who did not come from the Hou Kingdom had to be scanned before having the liberty to enter their Kingdom, they will also give out a small crystal card which they refer to as an identity card.

'Psh! Isn't this more like a tracking device?' I said as I traced the sliver of Qi within my card. With this, the higher-ups of the Hou Kingdom can immediately track down anyone. I can't help but admire the one who had thought of this Idea, it's simply marvelous.

Mind you, this Identity card is bound to it's owner by blood and you cannot forcefully destroy it, or else an alarm will be sent to the Generals and you'll be hunted down.

After getting inside the Kingdom, I immediately settled down on the nearest Inn and left the two, Sona and Ruzi.

After leaving them I immediately went and bought a middle-class mansion within the district of nobles. I made a whole tour around the street and made sure that none of those dark horses* (Mc material) are nearby my place. I also wrote down a simple defensive mechanism inside the manor I bought.

The business days or processing of papers will take a week or 2 so I will have to be careful laying low.

My cultivation level seems to be breaking through without my knowledge I feel like I could reach the Sovereign rank by just sleeping. I giggled at the thought.
