Chapter 31: Time Apart

Royalty POV

Ever since that night at the club Qua hasn't talked to me AT ALL!! He won't return my phone calls or text messages.. he even moved out and back in with the guys! I felt like I made the biggest mistake of my life.. Nicki even told me she had nothing going on with him but them being friends nothing less nothing more. It hurt me to know he was taking this beyond far but I should have expected that.

Today was Yaté' birthday and Set texted me letting me know Qua was on his way.. nobody else really knew what was going on between us except Jewel, Devin and Qua's sister. I hated Yaté had to be caught in the middle of our foolishness...

"Let's get you dressed birthday boy" I picked him up taking him upstairs to his room

"Mommy why didn't daddy stay the night?"

"Daddy wanted to spend sometime with the guys" I lied smiling

"But I wanted him to have breakfast with us" He pouted

"Hey.." I kneeled down in front of him. "I know he wasn't here this morning or last night, but he is going to spend the entire day with you and he has a ton of surprises for you!" I smiled

"Promise?"

"Promise!" I kissed his head

See, Yaté was very observant when something was going on between me and Qua.. he was so smart to be so young! After awhile he was all dressed and ready. I brought him in my room placing him on the bed turning on spongebob.. I went and took a quick shower before Qua got here. By the time I got done drying off and oiling my body I heard him come in the room I groaned remembering I left my clothes on the bed.

I stepped out the bathroom in nothing but my peach colored Lace panties and bra grabbing my clothes. I felt Qua's eyes burning a hole into my body I quickly put on my clothes and headed back to the bathroom to do my makeup which was really simple and then my hair.. I decided to leave it curly and messy something I hadn't did in awhile

"We going ice skating first" Qua leaned against the doorway

"Okay" I shrugged avoiding eye contact

"How's my princess?" He asked smiling a little

"We're fine" I scoffed

"I was referring to my baby, not you"

"Well she is attached to me so it would be nice to ask about me as well" I looked at him through the mirror

"I know you doing fine.. you standing here talking ain't you?" He raised his brow

I shook my head pushing past him only for him to grab my arm pulling me back

"Don't do dat shit.. I'll still fuck yo ass up" He let me go bumping my shoulder as he walked out

I rolled my eyes putting on my shoes going back into the bathroom making sure everything was off before grabbing my purse and phone before heading downstairs too see Yaté on Qua shoulders laughing

"I'm ready"

We walked out and I locked up Qua placed Yaté in the backseat while I walked to my car

"What you doing?"

"About too get in my car" I said in a duhh tone

"Nahh we riding together so come on" He got in the driver seat of his truck turning on the engine

I groaned getting in the passenger seat looking out the window... lord please be with me

We made it to the skating rink it was just us until it was time to have lunch.. everybody was going too meet up then and go from there. I held Yaté hand while Qua held his other while we skated.. for once I was actually having fun!
