I stood back and listened to ole dude talk.. I couldn't believe CJ had a son and nobody knew about it.. he sure knew how to keep some damn secrets that's for a fact!
"How come we never met you?" Royal asked
"Because... I had to live with my mom.. after CJ got sent off to an insane asylum I--"
"Insane Asylum? This nigga was sent off? How tf did he get out?" I asked kind of taken back by alll this new information
"Yes.. he escaped and moved to New York and everybody covered it up.. he tried to get in contact with me and my mom wouldn't let him. She said he wasn't safe to be around.. I knew he had nieces but I wasn't able to contact any immediate family" He sighed
"Well.. what brought you back?"
"My mom passed away a month ago and I heard CJ was killed.. then I met a girl named Ashley and she told me that we were cousins and she gave me your address.. I just had to see if this was all real or not"
"How old are you?" I asked curiously
"I'm 22.."
"Well, Devin... where are you staying for the night?" Royal asked
"Haven't figured that out yet.. I may stay at a hotel"
"Why not stay here?" I offered. "I mean you'll get free food and all of that.. plus we have a lot to discuss tomorrow"
"You sure?"
"Yeah... were sure" Royal smiled. "I'll show you too your room" She lead him upstairs with him following
I sat down on the couch sighing loudly only for Set and Take to come sit by me and Rel stand in front of us
"You know I feel that lil nigga is cool.. even tho he act like a white boy" Set nodded
"His mom was probably White... I mean look at Royalty.. she ain't all black" Rel pointed out
"Y'all really gon talk about this right now?"
"My bad"
I got up and went upstairs to my room to see Royalty sitting on the bed messing with that envelope she was going to give me
"Oh, what was that?" I asked coming closer
"A little gift" She handed it to me smiling
I took it and opened it seeing it was a picture inside. I took it out and looked it over and I was in complete shock
"Are you serious?" I smiled
"Yupp" She stood up kissing my cheek. "I'm only six weeks" She smiled
I wrapped my arms around her hugging her making both of us fall back on the bed! She laughed wrapping her arms around my neck pecking my lips
"I love you baby.. I can't wait to break the news to everybody!"
"Why wait? Let's do it now" She smiled
We got up and headed downstairs into the living room catching everybody's attention
"What's wrong wit y'all?" Rel asked
"Well.. other than the arrival of Devin, we have some more news" Royal smiled
"Like?"
"Well mama... lets just say in nine months you'll be a grandma again" I smirked waiting for everyone's response and pretty soon we got it! The room filled with screams and yelling we were embraced in warm hugs and tons of congratulations
I couldn't wait too meet my baby...
Royalty POV
I walked downstairs to see the guys, Jewels and Britt in the kitchen talking or just playing around. I walked in sitting on the counter only for Qua stand between my legs smiling
"What?" I laughed
"I can't be happy?"
"Go right ahead" I smiled
I ran my fingers through his dreads scratching his scalp lightly
"Daddy!" Yaté ran in jumping up and down
"Wassup" He picked him up placing him in my lap
"I want pancakes!"
"Why don't you ask uncle Set to make you sum pancakes" I smirked
"Real funny! You know what happened last time"
"I still don't understand how you burn microwaveable pancakes" Qua shook his head
"You didn't read the instructions?" Take asked
"Nahh! I thought you put them bitches on 3 minutes not 40 seconds"
I laughed. "Dumb ass"
"Good morning" Devin walked in
"Morning.. how'd you sleep?" I asked
"I slept good" He smiled
"Good... Uhmm I'm sure you remember the guys from last night, but this is; Take, Set, Rel, Qua, Takes woman Jewel and my friend Britt and this little cutie here is my baby boy, Yaté"
"It's nice to meet you all.. especially you Britt" He smiled towards her
"Nice meeting you too" She blushed looking down like a little school girl
"Y'all would be a cute couple" Jewel teased
"Yeah we would.. maybe one day that can happen" He bit his bottom lip
"Yeah..." She smiled
We smirked and continued talking.. I think it should be interesting having him around!
