Prologue

PROLOGUE

"Adlee, come on! Join us on the dance floor!"

I just nodded my head for the nth time. Hindi ko alam kung ilang beses na akong niyaya ng mga kaibigan ko na sumayaw kasama sila. I lost count actually. I just really don't feel like dancing tonight. Maybe, because tomorrow will be our first day of school and I don't want to look like a sleepless zombie.

I took a sip on my appletini and roamed my eyes around the wide dance floor. Guess, this will be the last night life for us this year. Not bad though, we've been doing this for like 2 months now. We've spent our vacation well.

I was busy watching my friend when a firm arm encircled around my waist. Agad akong napangiti nang makita ko ang mapupungay na mata ni Roone, my 2 year boyfriend.

"You weren't enjoying the party?" He whispered in my ear because of the loud music. "Oh I see, is it because your drop dead gorgeous boyfie isn't around?"

Natawa ako sa sinabi niya. Ever the conceited guy, Roone Lunt Sevilla?

But I love the way he is. He is the perfect guy for me. Good looking, popular, a successful racer, every girls' fancies and of course, who on earth wouldn't want a guy who is financially stable? He gives me everything that I want, even the thing I wasn't asking for. He spoiled me too much, just like how my parents spoils me with my deeds.

"I've already ordered your drink, babe," I gave his vodka and he drank it freely.

"Thank you, babe. You know me too well," With that, we just lost ourselves.

Our whole night was a blast. Eventhough Roone and I didn't dance that much, we surprisingly enjoyed our stay there. We talked about some matters, and just drink our hearts out.

"Alam mo na ba ang schedule mo, babe?" Roone was driving me home when I asked him that. He is one year a head of me and he's graduating this school year sa kursong Business Management, while me, I still have two years to finish Architechture.

"Yes, babe. Can you send me yours tonight? So I'll know what time is our free time..."

I nodded my head with his idea. Sana hindi kagaya ng last year ang sched namin. We seldom see each other because of our opposite schedules. And that sucks! Weekends are also a hectic one. So wala talaga kaming time sa isa't-isa!

I just hope, kahit ngayon man lang ay mag sabay ang aming vacant time. I just really hope!

But just like the past school year, hindi na naman nagtugma ang aming schedule. We just talked on how we will gonna deal with this problem. We'll just call and text each other from time to time. And he promised that he'll visit me in our house thrice a week.

I believed him because he never broke his promises. What an Ideal Guy, right?

Monday came and I was so excited for school. Why? Because I'm going to meet my new classmates and I hope I'll have a new set of friends.

Ginamit ko ang aking red porsche car papunta sa school. This was a gift from my parents when I was eighteen years old and I treasure this so much. It's my dream car.

I was parking my car when I noticed a guy parking his bike beside my car. Nawirdohan agad ako sa kanya dahil sa kanyang suot na itim na jacket at bike. Who on Manila will wear a jacket in this kind of weather? And bike for transportation? Really?

Lumabas ako ng aking sasakyan kaya napatingala ito sa akin na kanina ay abala sa pangangandado ng kanyang bike. Umawang ang kanyang bibig habang matiim na nakatingin sa akin.
