Chapter 2

Laurens POV

Today I woke up to a girl lying in the other bed in my room for a second I freaked out then I remembered that Kenzie was staying over, well I guess I will have to get used to this.

I quietly tiptoed to my bathroom trying not to wake her up I was just about to close the bathroom door when Johnny comes bursting through the door.

"Lauren wheres my phone charger I know you must have took it" Johnny yelled.

"shh John be quiet Kenzie still sleeping" I whispered. Kenzie was already awake though.

"what wait ahhh where am I" Kenzie mumbled as she sat up straight.

"oh did you already forget your in my house" Johnny said trying to laugh.

"ugh well thanks for waking me up" Kenzie said while throwing a pillow at him.

"Hey Kenzie I was wondering if you wanted to go to city walk and meet my friends" I asked Kenzie politely.

"Nah I'd rather not if thats ok with you" Kenzie said rudely.

"hmm I wonder why your mom sent you here" Johnny said with sarcasm, because of Kenzie's rudeness.

"you know I hate you right" Kenzie said to Johnny.

I just walked over to my bathroom while those two still bickered. I didn't understand it I was nothing but nice to Kenzie why doesn't she want to meet my friends.

After Kenzie and I both washed up we headed downstairs for some breakfast. Of course John was already there devouring the pancakes mom had just made.

"Hello girls, how did you sleep Kenzie I know it must be weird in a different house" My mom said while greeting Kenzie.

"eh I'm used to sleeping in hotels and stuff so I was fine" Kenzie said plopping down on a chair next to John. Does this girl not know any manners.

"oh ok well I think it would be nice if you met Johnny and Lauren's friends so I am going to take you to city walk with us later this afternoon" my mom stated.

"ok umm well Lauren asked me that earlier and you guys really don't have to do this I can stay by myself I have done it plenty times before" Kenzie replied.

"oh well my house my rules, your going" My mom stated.

Wow didn't know my mom could be so harsh, its a good thing though because I really do want to be friends with Kenzie if were going to be living in the same room for a month.

"dont worry its going to be fun" I whispered to Kenzie as I sat down next to her.

An hour later Kenzie and I were already dressed and we were waiting in the car for John to come. I was wearing a white flowy shirt with ripped jeans. Kenzie was wearing a black crop top with black ripped jeans. Wow this girl must love black.

Kenzies POV

I was in the Orlandos car heading to some place they call city walk. I didn't mean to be rude earlier when they asked for me to meet there friends its just I don't want another person to know that I'm that girl who is troubled and gets sent some where to change.

I whisper to Lauren "can you not tell your friends that my mom sent me down, please"

"yeah of course Johnny and I will tell them that your a family friend thats staying with us for the summer" Lauren whispered back, before telling Johnny about it.

Ugh I didn't even think about Johnny no matter how annoying he is I really hope he doesn't tell anyone.

Before I know it we were in a parking garage looking for a spot to park. It was far from wherever we were meeting them, its a good thing I wore my vans.

"why don't you want anyone knowing that your mom sent you down here" Johnny whispered to me as we stayed back from the rest of his family.

"Its just how would you like it if people knew that your a mess and your mom isn't proud of you so she just ships you off" I replied looking him in the eyes.

"your not a mess and your mom should feel proud" Johnny said meeting my eyes.

Wait did he just compliment me "thanks" was the only word that came out of my mouth.
