MARLY
I wake up. Looking at my clock, it's only 5 AM. Why so early? I wanna snug up agains a warm body, but no one is on the other side of the bed. Oh yeah. I turn around, trying to fall asleep again. I miss Daniel already. I wanna go back to him. But he needs to know the consequences of his actions.

Finally Mason starts crying for food. Normally I'm a little annoyed when I need to wake up to feed him, because I wanna continue sleep. But now I was waiting. I couldn't fall asleep anymore. I take Mason out of his bed and place him on my lap. He starts smiling, guess someone is exited for food. I watch him as he drinks. Almost three months he is, it's all going so quick. He's a smart guy, doing everything so great. Holding himself up, watching everything around him.

Nervous I watch Daniel. He isn't doing great, not at all. He's seventh. Qualifying when horrible as well, he had a crash what made him start on place twelve. "This is your fault." Alex gives me a soft push, playing with me. My phone start vibrating. It's Finn.

Finn

Why is he doing so bad?

We have some problems, I think he's upset

I know for sure he is!
You better make everything good with
each other, I wanna see him perform
not these bad races

Luckily you still have Max to support,
who's doing way better

Yeah good luck sis

Thank you
Give my little nieces a kiss from me

I will if you give my little nephew a kiss

I will

I lay my phone done on the couch. I look at Alex playing with Mason. Mason is talking in his own language and it's the cutes thing in the world. "What are you saying?" Alex asks Mason playing with his hands. Mason is doing it for two weeks now and it always makes me smile. "Come on Dan," I say soft to him. Even though he can't hear me. This will be one of his worst races, I think, for what I've seen. Both of the guys of Haas are better than him, not that they are bad, but you know.

DANIEL
"Come on Daniel, you can do better than this. Do it for your son," I hear through the radio. He's right. I need to do better, I don't wanna finish seventh.

I don't even wanna look back at the race. I know it was bad and it was all my fault. I fucked up with Marly. I need to make it up to her. Hopefully she's home when I'm back in Monaco. I miss her. I was so stupid. How could I do that to her? She's the love of my life.

MARLY
"You're still up," I hear Daniel his voice behind me. I turn around on the couch. And slowly nod. "You sucked." I chuckle. "I was. I'm sorry, I really am. I don't know what I was thinking," he change the subject. I'm now standing in front of him. I wait until he's fully done talking. "Please forgive me Marly." He nervously moves with his hands, not knowing where to put them. I let him wait, what makes him more nervous. "If you promise me you'll do better in racing." "I promise." He smiles. I press my lips on his. "I missed you," I say. Resting my forehead against his. "Missed you two." "We do need to talk about it tomorrow." I look at him. He quickly nods.

With a tired head I leave the bathroom. Now I noticed Mason didn't wake me up. I walk to his room, opposite of the bathroom. He isn't in his crib. Then I hear him crying from the living room. "Ssh you're ruining it," Daniel says. He leaves the kitchen with stuff in his hand. Not noticing me. I giggle when he trips. "See Mason you ruined it. We need to work on that," he says to Mason when he sees me. "Good morning." I smile. "Morning." Daniel gives me a kiss. I look at the clock, it's already half nine. I haven't slept this long since sometime before Masons birth. "It's late," I say. I pick up Mason from his rocker. He slowly stops crying. "He just missed his mama," I say. "I'm sure he did. Did you had a look at the table?" I shake my head, maybe I had a quick look. "Good. I'll bring you to the balcony." With my back towards the table Daniel leads me to the balcony. Mason and I do this every morning. This is for me waking up. Feeling the heat on my skin, even though it's getting colder, my little man in my arms and just having a look at the ocean filled with boats. "Ready!" I smile and walk back inside. The table is full with good food. "It looks beautiful."

"I said I wanted to talk about it more, but I don't really know what to talk about," I say after I swallowed the last piece of bread. I'm so full. I rest my hand on my stomach leaning backwards against the leaning of the chair. "I don't know what else to say other then I'm sorry. I don't know how to make it up to you. I don't wanna hurt you, ever. I want you to be happy, with me, with us." He looks at Mason and then back at me. I swallow. "Let's forget about it. Throw this little piece of time away. Leave it all behind us and move on together," I suggest. "I'm good with that." I nod. He stands up from the wooden bench. I expected him to leave the room, but he wraps his arms around me. With my hands I hold his strong arms. His cheek touching mine. "Do you still wanna marry me?" "I do." I smile. "Thank god," he says relieved.
