Siding

I decided to come back for this chapter
.........................

I came back to mention a common issue with readers siding with the protagonist even if their in the wrong.

For instance the reader may diss a waitress, then the readers proceeds to say the following:
"You got told"
"That's what you get"
"You need some ice for that burn"
"That's my girl".
Ect.

This happens often even when the waitress makes a small mistake like spilling a drink, getting a order wrong, and so on.

These are things that happen on a daily basis and the protagonist commonly causes the waitress to lose her job.

However I will acknowledge instances where the waitress disses the protagonist, but in these instances the readers defends the character by saying the following:

"Hold my (insert accessories, clothing, ect.)"
"Oh no you just didn't"
"I wish I could jump in this book so I could (insert some form of violence)"

It puzzles me how you could defend the protagonist and not the waitress when the tables turn. Is it because the waiter is of lesser status?

........
I came back temporarily. my cousin is still writing the book.
