He got back to the sofa he'd slept on right as the clock on the DVD player showed 7:30 A.M..

No one is up still...

Dropping down onto the sofa, Teller let his eyes slide closed as he settled his head on the armrest, dozing off a few minutes later.

"Hey, Tay-Yun."

A soft knock on the glass of the sound room brought him out of his thoughts. He hadn't actually heard the gesture, but he'd seen the faint shadows moving, giving away that someone was there. He'd been up all night, but that was nothing new when he had a song he needed to get out of his head. It wasn't going too well, but he was making some progress.

He nodded to Wan-Nu that the door was unlocked, and waited as he slipped inside. En-Ti appeared a moment later, then Sahn-Re, who still appeared to be half asleep.

"What's going on?" He asked as he shut off the electric keyboard he'd been working on.

Before he could even move out from behind it, Wan-Nu had his phone out and was pulling something up. "I saw something surprising on the security cameras earlier." He said, drawing everyone's attention suddenly, making them gather uncomfortably around him to try and see what he had pulled up.

Tay-Yun recognized the tune of his new song right away on the truncated footage, but what shocked him was that it wasn't his electric keyboard making the sound, which he'd had running on repeat so that he could fill in notes and rerun each fixed version, but the grand piano that Teller sat at. He also began to pick up several small differences, and a few larger ones as the song continued to play.

When the video stopped, all eyes turned up to Wan-Nu. "She was playing for a long time before that, testing each sound of the keys... and she didn't even seem to know that there were pedals that could be used, too. I don't think she's ever touched a piano before tonight, boys."

"So, she's some kind of musical genius?" Sahn-Re asked as he hid a yawn with one hand, then ran his fingers through his messy silver hair, just making it stick up even more.

"I think it could at least be the reason why the man on the phone earlier wanted her back so desperately. Unless she'd somehow gotten to the sound room while I was in the bathroom around one  this morning, she couldn't have even seen the music in my notebook." Tay-Yun added as he crossed his arms over his chest.

En-Ri seemed the least surprised by the news, but he did look upset. "I don't want to give her back to that man." He stated with a calm determination.

They all looked at each other, then back to the clip, which was beginning to repeat on mute, from the security footage.

"He's going to hurt her, guys. He even promised to do so over the phone." Sahn-Re said quietly, his normally cheerful disposition lost in the heavy atmosphere.

Wan-Nu stopped the clip and slipped his phone into his pocket as he blew out a stressed breath. The man was barely thirty-five with a full head of styled brown hair. He looked after his band as if he were one of them, and they relied on him, too, but...

"We can't just take her, and you saw the way she reacted. Yes, she knows she's going to get hurt, but there's a reason she's going to go back, and unless we do something stupid and illegal, we won't be able to stop her." He said, hating that he couldn't do anything.

Tay-Yun nodded after Wan-Nu had finished speaking. "He's right. She's not mute, either. Whoever called her is holding something big over her. She's going back, and considering all of the shows and our upcoming recordings we have to get ready for, we can't afford to pry into her life."

Sahn-Re stepped forward, clearly frustrated with Tay-Yun's answer. "So you're saying that we should just ignore her? She's getting abused and we should just look the other way?"

En-Ri stepped between them before Tay-Yun could reply. Putting his hands on Sahn-Re's shoulders, he gently pushed the boy back until there was a safe distance between the two.

"Tell her that you'd like to help, but he's right. We know nothing about her besides where she came from and we have no proof of what he's doing to show the police. A black eye doesn't mean that he gave it to her. The man that called clearly controls her somehow, and we just don't have the time right now to push into someone else's life, especially if they refuse our help, which she is likely to do."

Sahn-Re spun around and stomped from the room, earning a head shake from Wan-Nu as he turned his attention to the other two boys. "She still has your things, Tay-Yun... or, I bet you, the man who called has them. You have a reason to stay in contact with her."

Tay-Yun glared down at his electric keyboard. "I'll watch her, but I'm not interfering. Once I get my things, I'm backing away from the situation."

Wan-Nu gave his shoulder a squeeze and nodded. "Thank you. She's asleep upstairs right now. I'm going to go wake her up and see if she'll eat, then we'll take her back."

Tay-Yun simply returned the nod before sitting back down at his keyboard.

Right as Wan-Nu was walking out of the sound room, Tay-Yun spoke up quickly, but didn't take his eyes from the notebook he was writing in. "Send me that recording."
