Love

I'm trying not to think about you.

But I just can't get it out of my head.

The way you wrap your arms around me,

so vibrant and full of life.

The way you smile,

as if all the joys in the world didn't matter anymore.

The way you look at me,

as if you were staring into the deepest ocean.

The way you love me,

as if there was no one else to love.

You're tearing me apart.

With your smiles.

With your stares.

With your thoughts.

I never knew love felt like this until I met you.

I never knew the true meaning of what it felt like to have a purpose...

As I stare into your face, I can no longer see your mask.

I see a beautiful, meaningful person.

One who I have always been waiting for.

As my lips press against yours, only one thought raced through my head;

He's the one.

And what now?

As I stepped away from you,

I can no longer see the face that once brought me joy.

What may have only been a couple days felt like an eternity.

The everlasting sun upon the meadows.

As I begin to wonder,

a tear rolls down my cheek.

I can no longer go back to the life I once lived.

I want to spend my life with you.
