He sat inside his room. Room filled with memories of you and him. Why? Why do fate be so cruel? Why would life be unfair? Why?
"I guess... Forgetting [y/n]-chan is difficult." He sighed then smiled bitterly.

"[y/n]?" Takane said, giving you a cone of ice cream.
You accept the cone and stared at it. Memories began to run into your mind again. Why can't you just forget it and start new memories with Takane? Why can't you?
Maybe, forgetting someone you love so dearly is a bad idea.
But you don't have a choice. You're going to get married to Takane, a person you don't love. You love Takane, but as a brother. And it seems that he, and your parents doesn't understand that.
"[y/n].. Let's break up.." He said.
Tears building up your eyes as you stare at him. "What?"
He looked away and brushed his fingers through his hair. "Let's split up. It's for the best."

"I regret everything. I should've fight for her." Takao said.
Midorima stared at him and sighed. "You should have. There's this quote saying, 'If you love someone. Fight for them.' You should've followed it."
Takao buried his face between his arms. "I know. Tell me Shin-chan.. Am I a bastard for hurting [y/n]-chan's feelings?"
Midorima patted his back. "No. You just did what you think is right."
"But. If you really love her, you must fight for her and take her back."

You're on your way home with Takane, this day has been an ordinary day like the days you spent before you met Takao.
"[y/n]? Did you enjoy yourself today?" Takane asked you with a smile plastered on his face.
You faked a smile and nodded your head. "Un! Thanks for everything Takane." You said.
He nodded his head. Not long enough, you made it home. Takane assisted you inside. Inside, you saw both your parents and Takane's they were probably talking about the wedding.
You mentally sighed and frowned. I don't want to be married. If I do, I like Kazu-kun to be my groom. You thought.
The night was supposed to be a normal night, until someone barged inside your house.
"[y/n]-chan!! [y/n]-chan!!" He screamed.
You stood up and stared at his figure eyes widening in shock. "Kazu-kun?! What are you doing here?!" You asked.
He struggled to break free from the guards that was stopping him.
"Takao-kun?" Your mom said.
Yes, they knew Takao. Takao often visits you when you two are still together, that's why your parents are pretty close to him too.
"[y/n]-chan! Can we pleasetalk?!" He asked, pleading in his tone.
Your eyes began to water again as Takane pulled you close to him.
"Why? Didn't you dump her?" He asked Takao.
Takao looked at Takane, and gave him a glare. "No! I didn't! It was just a misunderstanding! I should've fought for her! I love her!" He said.
Tears fell from your cheeks.
"Kazu-kun.." You said. Takane looked at you and released you. You looked up to face him and you saw him smile at you.
"[y/n].. I love you and you know that. But.. I know you don't love me back." He said. Wiping your tears away.
"I knew from the very start that you only see me as a sibling. And you love Takao." He added, before pushing you to Takao.
"And I know he loves you more than I do. I know that he is the only person that can let you smile again."
"So Takao? Please take care of her again? For our sake? But if you hurt her again, I swear I'll take her away from you."
The guards let go of Takao as he ran to embrace you. An embrace you always wanted to feel. An embrace coming from the person you love.
"Thank you, Takane." He said, smiling at him.
Takane nodded and turned his heels to walk away. I'm sorry, and thank you.
Both of your parents and Takane's decided to cancel the engagement as they accept Takao as a part of your family once again.
"[y/n]-chan.. I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to hurt you.. I did that because, I thought it's for the best.. But it turned out to be worse. I'm sorry and I love you.." He whispered as he hug you.
You hugged him back as you bury your face into his chest.
"No. Don't be sorry. I understand. And I love you too."
Takane walked away, tears streaming down his face. "I love you [y/n]."
