ISLA NUBLAR IS ALL LAURA HOSKINS HAS EVER REALLY KNOWN. She never came to fathom how she got there, or why she was accommodated to stay. The nineteen-year-old spends her days as a velociraptor behaviourist alongside her informal guardian, Owen Grady, staying as far as one can get from her Uncle, Victor Hoskins; head of Ingen security division.

As the year of 2015 comes to a close, whispers of a new carnivorous attraction set for unveiling at the world-renowned Jurassic World resort are spreading across the island. Park's operation manager Claire Dearing commits Alex Anderson—a lanky, clueless young man—to complete his internship in Simon Masrani's IBRIS project, under Laura's supervision. Far from pleased with the change, she struggles to hold her tongue, giving herself an acquired taste for all that is to come.

When Henry Wu's new divinity—The 'Indominus Rex'—rampages free from its enclosure, Laura and her newest companion set out to assist. Following a feeble fall from the back of their vehicle, the pair soon find themselves stranded in the heart of the jungle. No radio, no compass, no path the guide their way. To complicate such travesties, Claire Dearing's missing nephews, Zach and Gray Mitchell, stumble into their day.

It's a race back to the resort as havoc unfolds by the hour, where a stroll back to civilisation becomes a survival mission against the escaped travesties of the park. The further Laura runs, the more secrets unravel themselves; posing a question over everything about the island she thought she'd sought eternal safety from. Her trust begins to fall loose like a thread; where fabrics of the world she thought she knew are not so clear cut as they seem.

For Jurassic World is a place of opposites, and with a choice comes a gamble. Speak or be silent. Hide or run. Face defeat or fight back. Trust or betray. Life or death.
