KYLE'S POV:
"Do you think I'm weird?" tanong nya sakin kaya tumango lang ako sabay ngiti ng biglang mag seryoso yung mukha nya
"Actually I'm sick!" seryosong sabi nya syang kinagulat ko
"Your sick? What kind of disease?" curious na tanong ko sa kanya
"As I grow older my heart becomes more weaker! They say it's a heart failure and the side effect of that is cardiac asthma, where the left side of my heart decreased the pumping of air that goes to my lungs that caused my shortness in breathing" seyosong sabi nya kaya mas lalong nag seryoso yung mukha ko tapos bigla lang syang ngumiti
Kaya ba minsan wala sya sa klase?
Yun ba yung ibig sabihin ni Jess na palagi syang nasa clinic??
"Don't worry I'm not dying! Yet!" natatawang sabi nya ng mahalata nya atang nagiging seryoso na yung facial expression ko
"Yet?" seryosong tanong ko sa kanya tapos ngumiti lang sya
"How can you just smile like that? Is this funny for you? Because its not funny for me at all" asar na sabi ko sa kanya kaya nag seryoso na rin yung mukha nya
"What do you want me to do then! Do you want me to be sad because I'm sick or get angry because of it? Because nothing will change if I do that! For the past few years, I've learned to accept the truth that it is impossible for me to be cured" seryosong sagot nya sakin kaya binato ko lang sya ng unan
"Don't talk like that!" asar na sabi ko sa kanya tapos biglang lumuha yung mga mata nya
"I'm scared too! I want to live a long life where I can meet the man who will love me forever" sabi nya sakin habang umiiyak
Habang pinapanuod ko sya umiyak wala na akong nagawa kundi ang tumayo at lumapit nalang sa kanya.
"Don't talk like that! You said that your not dying!" sabi ko sa kanya tapos tumango lang sya
"Then why are you crying?" tanong ko sa kanya tapos umiling lang sya
"Don't cry!" sabi ko sa kanya sabay punas nung luha nya sa mukha
"Stop crying! Don't talk like your dying! Your strong! Your strong enough to face this challenge in your life!" seryosong sabi ko sa kanya tapos tumango lang sya habang patuloy pa rin ang pag tulo ng luha mula sa mga mata nya kaya wala na akong nagawa kundi ang yakapin sya
"Stop crying na! Just keep this in mind that I'm always here for you! You can call me if your not feeling well or if something bad happened to you! I'm always here to help you. You are now my fiancee and soon your going to be wife, so don't forget that I'm always here for you, no matter what happened!" seryosong sabi ko sa kanya tapos tumango lang sya tsaka sya humiwalay sa pagkakayap sakin
"Promise?" tanong nya sakin kaya tumango lang ako
"Promise!" sagot ko sabay taas ng kamay to locked our promise tapos ngumiti lang ulit sya
Habang pinapatahan ko sya sa pag iyak biglang tumunog yung doorbell nitong penthouse kaya tumayo na ako agad para puntahan yung pinto baka kasi yun na yung food.
Agad akong bumalik sa living room pagka tanggap ko nung food.
"I think we should name this place first" sabi ko sa kanya pag lapag ko nung pagkain dun sa table tapos tumango lang rin sya bilang sagot
"Should we call this SUITE? Since were going to stay in a connected rooms" sabi ko sa kanya tapos tumango lang sya bilang sagot
I think she's fine now!!
How I wish to ask about her fears but I think tonight is not the right time.
Masyado ng malalim yung nalaman ko ngayong gabi!!
JESSICA'S POV:
Habang busy kaming nagchichikahan ni Ysabel, pumasok na si Miss Ivy dito sa classroom.
"Today is a special day!" ngiting ngiting sabi ni Miss samin
"Anong meron Miss?" tanong isang classmate naming nasa harap
"They are going to announce the top students this quarter" excited na sabi ni Miss saming lahat
"They don't need to announce it anymore because we already know who they are" sabi nung isang girl na nasa harapan kaya tumango lang rin kaming lahat
"Sino ba yung top student dito?" bulong na tanong sakin ni Ysa
"It's Samantha! She's the top student since the day we enrolled in this damn school. It never changes that why were not curious anymore" bulong ko rin sa kanya
"What? How can that girl be the top student?" tanong nya sakin
"Actually she's pretty smart rin naman but the most disappointing part is that her attitude doesn't match her brain at all" bulong ko nalang sa kanya
In our batch Samantha is always the top student! Sya palagi ang number 1 simula nung nag enroll kami sa school na to. And Ernest is the top 2, tignan mo nga naman kung sino yung hindi mo nakikita mag aaral sya pa yung Top 2. Toto nga yung kasabihang never judge the book by its cover.
Pero sa totoo lang never pang natalo ni Ernest si Samantha in terms of academics. As far as I know her parents doesn't accept failure that's why she's doing her best to maintain her grades. There are lots of pressure in her shoulder because she's scared to disappoint her parents. And come to think about it, I think the reason why she choose to be friends with my cousin is because she wants people to be scared of her, so that no one will compete with her.
"Good morning students!" bati ni Sir Jim mula dun sa speaker dito sa room
"What the heck!" asar na sabi nung mga classmates ko kaya natawa lang kami ni Ysa
"Andaming echos ni Sir Jim!" asar na sabi nung isang classmate namin kaya nag tawanan lang kaming lahat
"I will announce the rankings of seniors first" sabi ulit ni Sir Jim kaya tumahimik na kaming lahat. Ganyan naman sila palagi start muna sila sa seniors papuntang freshman.
"May malaking pagbabago sa ranking ng mga seniors ngayong quarter" excited na sabi ni Sir Jim kaya biglang nag bulungan yung mga tao dito sa room
"Hala baka pasok ako sa ranking!" biglang sabi ni Joseph kaya na naman natawa yung mga tao dito
"That's the most shocking thing that will happen to my senior life" natatawang sabi naman ni Ernest tsaka sila nag high five na dalawa
"Anong pagbabago ba yun Miss?" tanong nung isang boy sa adviser namin pero ngumiti lang sya
"Let's just wait and see!" naka ngiting sabi ni Miss Ivy kaya tumahimik nalang ulit ang lahat
"In fifth place Jessica Jung" biglang sabi ni Sir Jim na syang kinagulat naming lahat
"What the hell!!" shock na sabi ko dahil sa di ko expect na maririnig ko yung pangalan ko
"Oh my god! You went up by a lot" masayang sabi ni Ysa sabay yakap
"Magaling ka kasing tutor" sabi ko nalang sa kanya kaya tumawa lang sya. Pag ranking kasi never akong naka pasok sa Top 10 kaya sobrang nakakagulat na umangat ako ng ganun kataas.
"Congrats baby!" sabi naman ni Joseph sakin kaya inirapan ko lang sya sabay bato ng notebook sa kanya kaya tumawa lang si Ernest
"In fourth place Ashley Alcantara" sabi ulit ni Sir Jim
"Wait! This is weird!" sabi bigla ni Joseph kaya biglang lumingon sa kanya si Ysa
"What's weird?" tanong ni Ysa sa kanya pero umiling lang sya
"It's just because Ashley's rank went down. I think may isa pang unexpected na pumasok sa Top 5" sagot nalang ni Joseph
"Third place Ernest Leo Sta. Ana" sabi ulit ni Sir Jim na mas lalong kinagulat ng mga tao dito sa room
"I told you!" sabi ulit ni Joseph
"Something is wrong!" shock na sabi ko nalang
"Let's just learn to accept things. Its just ranking guys! We don't need to feel disappointed" mahinahon na sabi ni Ernest kaya tumahimik na yung mga tao dito sa room
"All of you must be shock because of the sudden changes on the rankings of the seniors but this is the most shocking of all" sabi ulit ni Sir Jim mula dun sa speaker
"Don't tell me!" sabi ni Ernest kaya lumingon lang ako sa kanya
"I'm sad to say this but the one in second place is Samantha Manansala" sabi ni Sir Jim kaya biglang nag ingay ang lahat dito sa classroom.
This is impossible!!
"What the hell!" shock na sabi ko
"If Samantha is in second place then who is the top student?" di maka paniwalang sabi nung isang girl dun sa harapan
"Maybe it's me!" excited na sagot naman ni Joseph kaya inirapan lang namin sya ni Ysa tapos natawa lang yung tao dito sa room
"Everyone, let's congratulate the new Top student of the seniors" excited na sabi ni Sir Jim tapos biglang pumasok si Kyle sa pinto
"Baka si Kyle!" natatawang sabi ulit ni Joseph sabay tayo kaya binato ko nalang ulit sya ng notebook
"Gago!" asar na sabi naman ni Ernest sa kanya sabay hatak sa kanya paupo
"Where did you came from Mr. Fuertes?" tanong ni Miss Ivy kay Kyle
"CR" sagot nalang nya
"The top 1 student this quarter is Miss Alyanna Ysabel Ferrer! Congratulations!" sabi ni Sir Jim na kinagulat ko, hindi lang ako kundi lahat ng tao dito sa classroom pati rin itong nasa tabi ko gulat na gulat
"CONGRATS MY DEAR YSABEL!" malakas na sigaw ni Joseph sabay palakpak
"Everyone let's clap for our dear friend Ysabel" masayang sabi ulit ni Joseph kaya naman pumalakpak na rin ang lahat dito sa room
"What did just happen?" di maka paniwalang tanong sakin ni Ysa pero nagkibit balikat lang rin ako
OH MY GOD!!
WHAT JUST HAPPENED!!
Pag tingin ko kag Kyle hindi maganda yung facial expression nya tapos pag lingon ko kay Ernest ganun rin yung itsura nya.
This is not good!!
I feel something bad will happen!!
