After Y/n's shift, when she emerged tousle-headed from the diner, she found Finn leaning against the wall, waiting for her, his arms crossed in front of him. She almost gasped at the sight of him.

"Sure you don't want to go?"

"No! I told you, now will you stop following me?"

"Nope." He smiled. "I'll walk you home."

"Why can't you leave me alone?" Y/n had never been so insistently pursued by someone before. If it were not Finn pursuing her, she would have been otherwise flattered. But it was Finn, and she knew that he was doing this for one reason only.

"Fine. I'll stop."

"Thank you." She huffed and started down the sidewalk.

That evening at the party, Finn found Y/f/n, and approached her.

"Do you have Y/n's number?" He asked.

She eyed him suspiciously up and down. "Yeah . . . why?"

"I want her number."

"You'll need to get it from her," She shrugged.

"Please, Y/f/n." He resorted to begging, something which Finn Wolfhard knew nothing about. Y/f/n, while still regarding him cautiously, sighed and felt her shoulders drop in resignation.

"Fine."

It was not long later when Y/n received a text from him.

Hey, it's Finn.

Y/n couldn't believe it and wanted to murder whomever it was who gave him her number.

How the hell did you get my number?!

Someone told me, he responded. She could practically hear his smirk through the phone screen.

I thought you said you'd leave me alone. Why don't you?

You seem interesting.

Yeah, that's why, she responded and hoped she expressed her sarcasm as much as she wanted.

It is.

Suuuuuuuuree. Well, it was nice talking to you but I gotta go. Bye. And don't text me ever again!

Just because you said that I'm going to keep texting you.

Y/n left him on read, which left Finn feeling uncharacteristically both amused and morose. She was certainly going to be harder than he thought, which somehow made this conquest all the more exciting.

"Who are you texting?" Gaten asked.

"Millie," Finn lied.

"So are you two a thing?"

"No. She isn't my type."

"Then what is your type?" He pressed, but Finn only smiled and looked back to his phone, thinking of his next step.

That next morning, Y/n's sister, screamed at Y/n to get the door, since she was obviously too busy putting on her earrings. Y/n groaned but did so anyway, only to find Finn standing behind the now open door.

"Y/s/n will be done. She's just getting her earrings on." Y/n said and tried shutting the door, but he had placed his arm in the way and smiled at her.

"Oh I'm here for you."
