Chapter 9

Chiho who was the first to end her call where whispering with her friend every now and then stealing a glance at the back of her former crush who was sleeping peacefully in Emis bed.

It took a while for both partys to arrive so Emilia decided to let Chiho and her friend who refused to go home without his beloved girlfriend stay for the night. The next day Maou was already awake glaring fiercly at the ceiling as the three humans where enjoying breakfast. It knocked on the door. >>I'm going.<< Chiho said jumping from her chair and opening the door to find the tall figure of Alciel towering above her, behind him stood Lucifer with Bell and hanging down from Alciels shoulder was Rika. >>Yo! The group has gathered just as you asked!<< Rika greeted jumping down from Alciel crushing little Chi in a hug and afterwards skipped to Emi who squealed happily hugging her best friend of Japan. The Demons and Bell followed. Alciel himself didn't look quiet happy to be called over for nothing. >>So why are we gathering here?<< Lucifer asked who had a arm hanging around his girlfriend and the other placed on his hips clearly annoyed by so many people. >>Stop with your annoying voice Lucifer.<< Alciel scolded a treat he couldn't stop since he was human. >>We have to discuss something. Hey! Satan! Move already!<< Emilia shouted throwing a spoon at the still motionless man laying on her bed. He catched the metal with ease sitting upright and Lucifer as well as Alciel were kneeling before him after a second of shock. Lucifer was the first one to stand up again. >>Dude no offense or something but you look...<< gleaming red let him shut up instantly and hide behind Crestia Bell who made a step towards him and another she approached the Demon King. >>Emilia do you have a pair of scissors?<< she asked taking a handful of his long hair in her hand. Emi nodded and left to get the requested item. Without a word Bell pulled the King up and forced him on a chair brushing his hair with a small brush she picked up in Tokyo once. He kept quiet and just let it happen not complaining or letting any snarky comments slide just out of respect he felt towards the priestess who still caressed his confession with care. Emi handed her the item and Bell began to work with skilled hands to shorten his hair. Soon she was finished and everyone recognized the human Maou Sadao again. >>Now you look like a person again.<< Bell said with a smile. >>Thanks.<< he responded and smiled back at her. It was a forced but honest smile. >>Alright now that that's out of the way, let's talk.<< Rika disturbed the peace and everyone looked at her except Alciel who nodded in agreement with his fiance. >>First of all...<< Rika skipped towards the Demon King slapping him forcefully. >>How dare you making all of us worry! Alciel and Lucifer as well as Emi and Chiho were crushed at your disappearence do you even have any idea how we all habe suffered! You could have at least told us that you were still alive!<< Rika yelled loudly clearly angry. The Demon let his head hang in reply just holding the burning cheek on which Rikas Handprint was clear to see now. >>I couldn't...<< he finally managed to answer after a period of silence. >>You couldn't?! I don't believe you! Damnit you are the damned Demon King right? The Demon with tons of magic at his side! How in the world couldn't you contact us huh?!<< >>Rika. Please calm down.<< Emi softly grabbed the in anger shaking woman and rubbed her shoulder in hopes to calm her down. >>You know what.<< Lucifer began and looked a bit uneasy. His arms crossing over his coat. >>You sense it too don't you Alciel.<< a purple eye found it's part and looked at the calm Demon who watched his King carefully. The unmoving Alciel heaved a heavy sigh >>Yes I do.<< he finally replied and the eyes of the human girls and Shiro found them with a confused look in theyr eyes. >>Sire. What has happened?<< he asked his yellow eyes burning holes into the King. >>I... I don't remember...<< Maou replied his eyes finding his most reliable General. >>You don't remember?!<< Rika screeched fury glimmed in her eyes. Maou looked at her fear appeared for a second on his face before it disappeared again. A knock on the door interrupted the group and a loud voice roared outside.
