Yang X Male!Reader(AU):

Glad You Came

(Y/N)PoV

"How would you go about asking a girl out?" Jaune was extremely nervous, he had just been dared to ask his crush out. The Rich girl Weiss.

"Um... You ask" you answer like it's obvious... because it is.

"Like do I give her a note or maybe something special?" Jaune was against his locker, a thoughtful expression on his face.

"Are you even listening to me?"

"Maybe i could play a song?"

"Well fan fucking tastic." You say as you close your locker and turn to him. "Jaune!" he jumps out of his daze, "First, no don't go overboard, you seem desperate and stupid. Two, grab your shit and lets get to class, i'm not getting yelled at by Goodwitch because you are day dreaming."

He nods and you head off to class. That's when she bumps into you, throwing you off balance and sending her textbooks flying. Both of you were dazed and confused for a few seconds. You look up to see Yang Xiao Long, A fellow Junior at Beacon High. You always thought she was rather pretty, then again so did 99% of straight males in this school.

"Sorry about that," you say as you gather her things for her, "I was just in a bit of a rush."

"No no it was my fault, i wasn't watching where i was going" she counters as you hand her her books. You then stand up and offer your hand "Thanks" she stands up, her long golden hair flowing back into place. You both stand there smiling at each other for a few seconds.

"(Y/N)! COME ON MAN WE GOTTA GO!" Jaune yells as he passes you, sprinting to Goodwitch's room.

"Sorry Gotta go, See ya around!" you say as you run to catch up.

Yang just stands as she watches you two run away, a lovestruck grin strewn on her face...

Your head was propped on your desk, supported by your arms as you tried, in vain, to stay awake. Professor Port was saying something about Fractions, you think.

"Did Jaune do it?" Sun whispered to you from the desk next to your's.

"No, he did not." you say through a yawn.

"MISTER (L/N)! DO YOU WANT TO SHARE WHATEVER IS SO IMPORTANT AS TO INTERRUPT MY LESSON TO THE REST OF US?" The Portly maths professor shouted from the front of the room.

"Nah it's not that special, just typical high school drama." you answer nonchalantly, making a lot of people turn and look at you like you're crazy. They're right but still.

"Then perhaps you would like to answer my question?" He shouted back.

"Yeah sure if you wouldn't mind repeating it."

He growled before saying, "Imagine you're on a gameshow, and you're given the choice of three doors: Behind one door is a million dollars, and behind the other two, nothing. You pick door #1, and the host, who knows what's behind the doors, opens another door, say #3, and it has nothing behind it. He then says to you, 'Do you want to stick with your choice or switch?' So, is it to your best advantage to stick with your original choice or switch your choice?"

"Switch," you say immediately.

"Why?"

You sigh, "When you first picked one of the three doors, you had a 1 in 3 chance of picking the door with the prize behind it, which means you had a 2 in 3 chance of picking an empty door. What people get wrong here is thinking that because there are only two doors left in play, you have a 50% chance your first choice was correct. In actuality, your chances never changed. There's still a 1 in 3 chance you picked the right door and a 2 in 3 chance you picked an empty door, which means that when the host opened one of the empty doors, he eliminated one of the WRONG choices and the chances that the prize is behind the last closed door is still 2 in 3 — double what the chances you picked the right door at first are. So, basically, by switching your door choice, you're betting on the 2 in 3 chance you picked the wrong door at first. Sure, you aren't guaranteed to win if you switch, but if you play the game over and over, you'll win 2/3rds of the time using this method."

The class was silent, Port then growled and the lesson continued.

Sun Leaned up to you and whispered again, "Jesus Christ, i didn't know you were that smart."

"Well actually i got that from 21"

"What's that?"

"A movie about blackjack."

"Like the card game?"

"Bingo monkey man."

You walked up to your locker, imputing the combo. A slam to your right made you look over, Cardin Winchester was standing there with a stupid, maniacal smile.

"What's Up Nerd?"

"Obviously not your brain." you responded.

"Oh You think your cute?"

"Bitch i'm adorable," you say as you close your locker and begin to walk away.

One of Cardin's goons tries to trip you as you passed, you just kept your foot low and swept his out from under him as you passed, sending his face into the lockers and you on your way to class.

As you passed the lobby you were approached by Yang, she was being pushed along by a black haired girl. Belle? Brooke? Brenda? Something.

"H-Hey, (Y/N), i was wondering if uh... maybe you'd want to come with me to see that new Marvel movie?"

You were fairly surprised, she wasn't usually the one to get nervous, much less around boys. "Uh... Yeah sure."

Her face lit up and she gave you her number before running off to class.

After Movie:

You two walked out of the theaters, her arm wrapped around yours and her head perched on your shoulder. You walked in a comfortable silence, you had enjoyed yourself much more than you would have thought possible.

Once you two arrived at her house she turned and smiled, "I had a great time."

"I did as well. Maybe we could do it again some time?"

She leaned forward, placing her forehead against yours, "I think i'd like that." She leaned further into you, your lips gravitated toward each other's and you met in a sweet kiss.

The door opened to reveal a small girl with red hair, "YANG!"

The kiss ended and she sighed, a sad look on her face, "I'll see you monday okay? We can talk more then"

"Yeah, no problem, i should get going to."
