It's a wonderful Monday morning. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and it's time for school. I woke up with a big smile on my face. Everything is amazing. Ehhhh not really.

"Ryan! You better get up right now or else I'll come and wake you up myself girl don't play with me, Its 8:30!" My sweet wonderful Aunt Ronnie shouted from down the stairs.

"I'm up! I'm up!" I'm screamed back, "Damn this woman!"

I woke up muttering complaints under my breath. I took a shower and dressed up and got ready for the day.

"Alright Ry its a new school no problem there huh?! Just no friends, focus on school, don't make eye contact or talk to anybody and you'll be fine girl. I'll be fine." I talked to myself in the mirror. Gosh I can't even convince myself. This is great just great!

I ran downstairs and grabbed an apple since I was apparently late. I didn't find my Uncle Jack reading the newspaper like he usually does. Huh that weird. He's always home when I leave for school. I pushed that thought aside and went outside and got into the car where Ronnie was waiting for me.

"I'm here!" I told her whilst fastening my seatbelt.

"Good cause its only 6:45. I wanted you out of the house early." She said casually. I stared at her with my mouth wide open. No wonder my alarm didn't go off. This crazy woman woke me up 5 in the morning.

"Ryan don't do that to your face. Close your mouth a bug will fly in." She said starting the engine and driving off.

I looked out the window and thought about my current situation. New school huh? I think I can do this. Oh gosh I can't do this.

Why am I so nervous? You're probably wondering. Well first of all there's going to be people at this school. Okay that was a stupid thing to say but in my defense I'm not a fan of people, but then again they aren't really people there werewolves. So my point is not valid, okay. I've never been to school with werewolves which is weird considering I'm a werewolf but I'm slightly different. A story for another day. Ronnie and her mate, my Uncle Jack took me to human schools ever since my mom left when I was a baby. I never knew my dad. I could never handle being amongst other werewolves ever since then. So I was usually isolated from the other pack members and only allowed to associate with the humans whom i never liked either. But that doesn't mean I was antisocial or anything. I went out with friends and all but I'm just not a huge people person but when it's needed, my social skills do come out. I sometimes prefer to keep to myself but a little company isn't that bad. I've never actually found someone who I click with.

Now Ronnie thinks I should associate with our kind if I'm going to find my mate. He'll obviously want to live in the pack. So we moved. Now here we are in Woodlands South. Which has a school for werewolves only. New house, new pack and new people. I'm never making it out alive.

"Ryan don't space out and talk to yourself in your head. It's weird." Ronnie said without even looking at me. This woman is extremely crazy.

"I don't even get why we're doing this in the first place. I don't think I even have a mate!" I huffed dramatically throwing my hands in the air," Plus school is awful! Its like a prison we even have a uniform!" My school unform was a dark blue high wasted checked skirt with pleats that start at the lower waist, white shirt with the school logo on the breast pocket, black  thigh high socks with two white stripes at the top, a black tie with white diagonal stripes and a black jersey with two white stripes on the wrists, neck and hem of the jersey or if you'd rather wear, a black blazer with the school logo on the left chest. The difference between us and  boys uniform was that they wore  black trousers.

"Come on kiddo even the moon goddess isn't that cruel." She replied sparing a glance at me," now c'mon cheer up. I'm sure you might almost fit in. Possibly. I mean you wear the same outfit."

"Hey" I giggled. She ruffled my hair and chuckled.

"There ya go. Smile more. If you do, you might look as good as me in your nineties." She smirked.

"Meaning old, wrinkled and ugly?" I asked trying to hold in my laughter at the look of shock on her face. I couldn't hold my laughter in anymore and I burst out laughing.

"Haha very funny. For that I pray the moon goddess let's you rot in an old smelly dungeon with an old wrinkled smelly woman saying 'the soup is hot! the soup is hot! Dear would you mind chewing my peanuts for me?' " she said imitating a sickly old woman that made my laughter worse and she joined me.

Ronnie is like a mum to me. She raised me with her mate Jack. We never talk about my actual parents because its too painful for her, my mom being her older sister and I just don't want to. So our relationship is like that of sisters, best friends and one between a mother and daughter. Its deep like that.

"We're stopping by Jessie's before I take you to school. If you're asked were you came from you know what to say.'' Ronnie reminded me.

"Yeah yeah I remember." I replied. I sighed and looked out the window. This is gonna take a while.

                                                                   ***********

We both got out of the car after she parked the car and headed towards the school building. There were a bunch of werewolves and humans already here.

We headed towards the reception. A woman who looked like she was probably in her early 30's, blonde hair in a tight bun and emerald green eyes. She looked to have a petite curvy body. By her scent I could tell she wasn't human. Then she must be a werewolf and probably way older than 30.

"Excuse me Ma'am" Ronnie said after clearing her voice.

"Hello there, how may I help you?" The receptionist asked with a smile on her face.

"Yes this is Ryan Montgomery she's new here and we'd like to see the principal please." Ronnie said in her extra nice voice.

"Oh right! Ryan we have your appointment. Follow me please." She replied. She then stood and motioned for us to follow her. We followed her down the hall to the principals office. We stopped in front of a door that said 'PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE'.

"Okay here ya go. And welcome to Woodlands South High School Ryan." She welcomed me with a big smile whilst holding her hand out for me to shake. I took it and shook it with a smile of my own. She left after shaking Ronnie's hand as well.

"Okay kid ready to meet the boss around this school?" Ronnie asked with her hand on the door knob.

"Nope but its too late to back out now huh?" I replied with a soft chuckle.

She opened the door and we were faced with the typical Principals office. A big brown wooden table in the middle of the room, a small book shelf at the back corner of the room. A metal cabinet to the left side of the office that I'm sure held all the files of the pupils in this school. A couch at the right side right in front of the window and two chairs at the other end of where the spinning black chair is. In that chair sat a man with pale skin who looked to be in his mid forties with pale blonde thin hair and a couple of wrinkles on his face.

"Ah Miss Montgomery, Mrs Daniels welcome to Woodlands South High School." He said, his voice so deep that if it went an octave lower you wouldn't hear a thing. He extended his hand towards us after standing up.

"Thank you Mr Schneider." Ronnie said shaking his hand. I did the same.

"Well this won't take long. You just need a copy of the school rules and your schedule and you'll be off to your first class." He said to me. I just nodded feeling intimidated by him. He handed me my schedule and the school rules.

"Be home early okay ?" Ronnie said. I simply nodded giving her a small smile and hug. I quickly walked out of the office and went down the hall looking for my locker. There were no students in the hall so I assumed class started. Now I'm late and the attention will be on me when I get into class. Dang it!

I located my locker and put my books inside but got one note book and History text book since it was my first lesson.

"You got this Ry. You can fit in. They are just like you, just like you." I gave myself a little pep talk outside the classroom. I placed my hand on the door knob. Here goes nothing.
