Miley's POV

I awoke the next morning with another smile on my face, or perhaps the same smile I fell asleep with. Jason was the cause of that and it made me fall deeper in love with him. I have never felt this happy with anyone before.

I had a somewhat busy day today. We were going to meet with the director of my new movie. The script really appealed to me and I am so happy to finally be doing it.

"Okay, so we are going to a private lunch to meet the director of my new film," I said as I jumped around the bedroom once Jason had finally woken up.

Jason was still in bed and he laughed at how jumpy I was being.

"Stop laughing!" I said jumping on his lap. I smiled at him as he smiled up at me.

"I'm so excited," I said with a bright smile.

"I can see that!" Jason said as he held me close.

"I think you will like him," I said pulling away and looking at Jason.

"Either way, I am happy that you are happy," Jason said giving me a peck on the cheek.

"How is your leg?" I asked looking at the boot he was wearing on his leg.

"It's better." He shrugged.

"That's good!" I smiled.

I ran into the bathroom to take a shower and make myself look somewhat decent before leaving. I ended up blow drying my hair and putting some makeup on my face. I put on a floral strapless dress and a pair of sandals. We were in Florida after all and it was rather hot outside.

"Are you ready?" I asked looking at Jason who was wearing a pair of basketball shorts and a white t-shirt. He grabbed a hat and sunglasses before turning towards me.

"Yeah," he nodded and held his hand out towards me.

I grabbed my wallet and phone before walking towards him and grabbing his hand.

"Turner will be driving," Jason said as we walked out of the house.

We got into the back seat of the car as Turner drove and another bodyguard sat in the front seat.

"What's the directors' name?" Jason asked looking away from his phone.

"Steven," I said. "Is everything okay?" I asked moving closer towards him and grabbing his hand.

He didn't touch me much when we were in front of other people and I didn't like that. I know that it was him being professional but it still bothered me.

"Yeah," he nodded keeping his eyes on his phone.

I rolled my eyes and moved back over to my seat. If that is the way he wanted to play it, fine. I had woke up in a good mood but now I wasn't so happy.

I know we haven't talked much about this but seriously...

"We're here," Jason said as the car stopped.

Jason got out of the car and then reached for my hand to help me out. Because I was annoyed, I didn't take his hand but I got out of the car myself.

Kent, the bodyguard sitting in the front with Turner got out and walked ahead of me. Turner went to park the car, and Jason walked next to me looking around at the people who walked past us.

Some of the bystanders had begun to notice me and take their phones out. I put my head down and walked inside of the café we were meeting Steven at.

"Miley!" Steven said as soon as I walked inside.

"Steven!" I said looking up with a smile on my face.

"How are you, darling." He smiled pulling me into a hug that I returned.

"I'm great, how are you?" I asked as I stepped back to get a good look at him.

He looked the same as I last saw him nearly a year ago when he had told me about this script.

"Excellent," Steven smiled.

"I've already spoken to Sara and she has told me some of what has been going on." He said leading me into a private room of the café that we would be eating in.

"I'm glad that you haven't given up." He smiled helping me into my chair. "I have also talked to her and your security about the accommodations we will be taking to ensure your safety." He said sitting in the seat across of me.

I had lost track of Jason and assumed that he was somewhere behind me, perhaps by the door.

"I'm glad to hear that," I said letting out a breath that I had been holding in for a way too long.

"Of course," he nodded with a smile. "Have you had a chance to read the script?" He asked as the waitress brought out our food. I guess he had already ordered for us.

"Yes, I have. I am really excited about it." I said with a smile.

I had been looking forward to this for a long time and I am so happy that it is finally coming together. I had seen the script back when my parents were in control of everything and they didn't want me to sign on to it because they didn't think I would make enough money from it. I begged but soon gave up knowing it was useless with them.

"I'm so happy to hear that." Steven smiled.

"Is everything in place?" I asked as I began to eat my food.

"Yes, we plan to start filming next week. If that works for you and your team." He said as he began eating as well.

"I think everything is in order." I nodded with another smile.

"I'm so happy to hear. I was worried for a little bit that this wouldn't work out." He shook his head. "We were all really set on you and couldn't even imagine trying to find someone else to play the role." He said shaking his head.

"I'm thankful for your patience," I said.

"How are you doing?" Steven asked giving me a softened look.

"Better," I nodded with a soft smile.

The only person that I even talked to about what was happening was Jason. He seemed to understand my thoughts and feelings and I didn't really know how to talk to Steven or anyone else about what was happening.

"Good, I have been worried." He said with a soft expression.

We wrapped up our meeting and said our goodbyes. I would be meeting him and the rest of the cast and crew next weekend once everything was ready.

Jason and Kent walked me outside where Turner was waiting in the car. The ride was silent and once we got back to the house Sara was there waiting for me.

"Hey," Sara smiled as I walked into the house with Jason right behind me.

Jason was still ignoring me. I was becoming more and more angry with him. What was his problem?

"Hey," I smiled back at her.

"Everything go well? His assistant just sent me next weekend's schedule." She said grabbing her laptop and sitting back down on the couch.

"Yeah, it was great," I said sitting down on the couch across from her.

All I could think about was Jason and his sudden strange behavior.

"Good," she said sending me a warm smile. "Everything good on your end?" Sara asked sending Jason a glance.

"Yeah," Jason nodded before walking into the bedroom and shutting the door behind him.
