Once upon a time,
There was only me and you
We'd laugh and dance the day
Not minding the problems that come our way.
Your eyes once held the clearest blue,
Until she came and ruined you.
And by my side you'd always stay,
Promising that you'll never fly away'
But now you found
The girl you love
The girl who owns your heart,
Your heart I can never have
I remember that one fateful day,
I remember like it was just yesterday.
I clearly remember where you stood,
Smiling brightly like a fool
And by your side were your bride,
While I was silently bidding you goodbye.
And here I sit in this same place,
Reminiscing how your lips would tug into a smile,
How you would laugh,
With your head thrown back,
That there was once me and you,
Once upon a time.
