I could feel the blood pounding through my veins as the endless black surrounding me slowly faded to a deadly looking crimson. The pressure in my head increased. Screaming for a release that wouldn't come. The pain was so intense, I immediately recognized it as awakening from a crash.

I lay there waiting for life to come back into my body as pieces of last night came back. The guys. The booze. The meth. And one out of control party.

I groaned as my eyes fluttered open, taking in the scene around me. There were empty XXY, patron, and vodka bottles strew amongst the passed out and crashing bodies. I slowly sat up, trying to remove some of the weight off of my best friend, Ali Donahue. Her blonde hair was stuck across her face, probably from the inward pain I knew she had to be feeling now.

I gently shook her. Arousing her from a heavy sleep.

" come on Ali, we need to get back to my house" I whispered as her eyes took in what was around her. She gently nodded her head, sitting up.

" Ok lace, just give me a sec" Her husky voice, barley above a whisper. I gently shook my head, she always crashed the hardest. Her dark brown eyes met mine, silently asking for help.

I stood up slowly, trying to ignore the waves of pain attacking my body. I held my hand out to Ali.

She grabbed my hand murmuring a "thanks lace." as I helped her steady herself.

We each took a steadying deep breath and walked out of the house and into the bright mid-day sun. My lungs instantly cleared of the smoke I had been breathing in from all the blunts lit last night. By the look on Ali's face, I knew she was feeling the same way. Our heels clicked on the sidewalk as we slowly made our way to my house, which thankfully was only five houses down. To bad they were huge ass mansions with yards longer than a middle class neighbors hoods street.

I sighed, looking forward to the long sleep to come when I got home. Then I realized I had school the next day.
