"the (r)evolution."
[Jack Wolf]
I pack my things and put them all in my friend's car
Hoping the streets of this city take me that far
Now everybody knows what you did, now they know the truth
You say you did your best, you're such a f*cking liar
I thought you said you would always love me at all
But you don't seem to love, no more
Did I upset you while I screamed and I walked right on your floor?
Freaking out, dancing in the dark
That's how I'm feeling tonight
No one could say a scream for freedom would save my life
Now I know I won't die tonight
Sometimes I notice I'm in a stranger bed
Than the one I used to lay down
But I don't feel no regret, baby, no regret
For the things I had to say out loud
I thought you said you would always love me at all
But you don't seem to love, no more
Did I upset you while I screamed and I walked right on your floor?
Freaking out, dancing in the dark
That's how I'm feeling tonight
No one could say a scream for freedom would save my life
Now I know I won't die tonight
This is the start of my own revolution
I see the light, I swear it's not illusion
I do my liberty walk as I get into an evolution
I'm ready for it, ready to start my life tonight

Now it's all said and done, what should I do?
It's time to build myself without you, so where are you?
When I need to show my powers, where's your anger?
When I want to show I'm the winner, where's the loser?
I won, but I don't feel like I took it all
Happiness starts to leave me as I feel small
There's a brave new world out there
But my mind is the challenge I'm supposed to dare
