"The Paradise"
[Jack Wolf]
I had a dream
I climbed the Everest with shine on my eyes
Kissed my man like it was my last day alive
I felt like nobody could stop my ride
I had a dream
We danced on the street like nobody was around
We made fun of the motherf*ckers we just found
We could hear thousands of applauses from the crowd
I had a dream
But I wish everything on the dream to be real
Everybody would feel the things that I feel
I could hold their hearts with my arms of steel
I had a dream
Every weak human would get strong and rise
Everybody could be happy with no price
For God, I swear this would be the so-dreamed paradise
I had a dream
You said you loved me in every single way
You fell on your knees and started to pray
Pray for me, so I'd forever be OK
I had a dream
Dozens of summer nights I had with my friends
Blowing this sh*t up until the world ends
And on the sunrise, we would all hold our hands
But you wake me up saying we need to talk
Fear goes up my throat as I walk
All I can think about is "I'm so f*cked up"
And this is not a dream
And this is not a dream
And this is not a dream, no, it's real
Where are the birds? Where's the glory?
I thought I could really meet paradise
Where are the birds? Where's the glory?
I thought I could really meet paradise
God, don't wake me up, just don't wake me up
I really still wanna meet paradise
But, God, you woke me up, I got my eyes open
And what I see is not even close of the so-dreamed paradise
