Epilogue

I opened the box and a charm bracelet was set in it, a diamond for each charm

"It's beautiful" I said picking it up

"That was the present your dad gave to me before I told him I love him for the first time" I looked at them and dad gave her a look "Okay the first time I told your dad that I truly love him"

"So Kayla gets a million dollar charm bracelet. What do I get?" Kyle asked

"Here" dad said sliding him the iPod

"So Kayla gets that and I get a dinosaur iPod"

"Do you want the book?" Mom asked

"I think I'll go find out how this works" Kyle said getting up and running upstairs

"You should go get ready Kayla, we're going to grandma's place" 

I nodded and got up. I took the box with me and walked out the back door to my place

"Psst" I heard. I turned around and saw nothing. I shrugged and continues walking "Kay"

I stopped walking "Nick where are you?" I knew it was him by the way he said Kay, his little nickname for me

He walked out into the light towards me with his hands on his pockets "I missed you"

"I missed you too" I kissed his cheek "Let's go inside. I have something's to show you" We walked inside the pool house-or shall I say, my pool house and sat in the living room. I pulled out one of the pictures and showed it to him

"Who are they?" He asked looking through them

"Well the girl is my mom" I said pointing at her "And the guy is your dad" I said pointing at him

"Whoa" he said handing me back the picture "Our parents dated" I nodded "Don't you find that weird?"

"Well, now I do" I rummaged through the box and found the picture with the Jack guy "Has your dad told you about this guy?" I handed it to him "His name is Jack Larson"

He took it from my hands and examined it "He told me that he was a lunatic. He raped your mom because she was leaving to UPenn and she wanted to be with your dad, then he killed himself and others"

"That's crazy" I said as he handed me back the picture

He nodded "Nice place" he got up and looked around

"Thanks, my dad gave it to me. It use to be his, I have doritos that could last me a lifetime in the cupboards" I chuckled

"So what time do you want to leave?"

I quirked a brow "Leave?"

"Yeah"  I was confused "You forgot didn't you?" he sighed in frustration "Our date is tonight"

My eyes widen "I'm so sorry Nick. I was trying to find things for the place since dad gave the place to me. I totally forgot" I walked up to him and held his hands "Can you forgive me?"

"Hm" I gave him a look "If we go to the restaurant I want to" he smiled

"About that..."

He rolled his eyes "What now, Kay?"

"I'm going to my grandparents house. Mom told me to get ready"

He dropped our hands "Do they even know about us?"

"Do you want them to know?"

"If it means I get to spend more time with you, then yes, I want them to know"
