Video 4: Baylee

As Denise ran up the stairs and into Echo's room, Baylee felt her chest close.

She knew exactly what Echo was going to say to her.

She remembered a day not that long ago when Echo called her begging for help.

Baylee didn't answer.

She was too mad.

Thinking back, Baylee realized maybe if she had answered Echo might still be alive.

Baylee wasn't a very hateful person.

Sure she got mad and upset like everyone else but she never hated anyone.

That was until she met Max.

The thing was she didn't HATE Max.

In fact the only feelings she had for Max were the complete opposite.

She loved him.

She wasn't "in love" with him but she loved him.

Sitting alone in her room at 3:00am was the time she usually found herself thinking about him.

The prom coming up was even more of a reason to think of him.

He told Sarah he wanted to ask her.

He told Denise and Ariel too.

Why not her?

She was too busy re-running the past two years in her head to care when Echo's name filled her phone screen.

Echo was just going to cry and whine like she ALWAYS did.

Baylee was not in the mood.

She ignored the call and went back to her thoughts.

(Present)

Baylee held back her tears when she realized that was night before Echo did it.

She was trying to ask for help.

Advice.

She ignored her.

She wasn't there.

"Are you guys ready?" Ariel asked wanting everything to be over.

"Ready as we'll ever be." Jenet said sitting back on the floor with a water bottle.

Ariel sighed and clicked on the thumbnail with the words Baylee across it.

Everyone got quiet.

When you find people in your life that you can relate to on every level, you've found friends for life.

I found that with Ariel and Denise and Jenet and Cally.

Never in a million years did I think I would find it in you, Baylee.

You found a way to make it so easy to talk to you.

You were just there whenever I needed you.

I mess up alot and when I was ashamed to tell Denise or Ariel something you were there.

We became friends during one of the happiest times of my life.

But we stayed close after it all fell apart.

I know that you love Max and I want you to know that if he isn't treating you right, leave his ASS!

I've been telling Sarah the same thing since 1st grade.

NO MAN IS WORTH IT!

I know, I'm one to talk.

I practially killed myself over a man.

You heard me that night after the concert last year.

I was so depressed.

I almost took those pills again.

You and Ariel stopped me.

You were depressed too.

But you're not me.

You are strong and beautiful and you will find the man that makes you happy and who loves you as much as you love him.

When you saw me at prom and you wanted me to dance with you and Max.

I was so happy.

You were finally happy again.

Maybe if I said yes I would be there with all of you now.

Echo sighed and wiped a tear away.

My life has turned into a world of maybe's.

I know that a few years from now you will al forget me and move on.

Go to college.

Get married.

Have a family.

Be happy.

That's all I want for all of you.

Don't think I want anything less than happiness for all of you.

Baylee, you promise me now that you will look for love in the right places.

With someone who deserves you.

Who loves you.

Who treats you right.

Promise.

Ariel, make sure she promises.

Ariel smiled.

"I will." She said barely able to speak.

And make sure you take care of Sarah, Baylee.

Take care of everyone.

Like they always took care of me.

The video went black and Baylee was in tears.

Lucas wrapped his arms around her and held her.

Ariel looked at Sarah.

"You okay?" She asked.

Sarah looked sick.

White as a ghost.

"Have you ad anything to eat?" Jenet asked.

"No." She answered.

"I'm going to go make you something." Lucas said smiling.

"Go on to the next one, Ariel. Find Denise first." Lily said.

Ariel looked at Lily and nodded.

"I'll be back." She said to Sarah as she stood and walked up to Echo's room.
