"But daddy its my ninetenth birthday" I whined "I want to go with Bexs to New Charles point for a few days."
" I said no Rayne and I mean it you can stay in town and party! You know how much your mother and I worry when your not close enough to us"
"Im 19 soon stop treating me like a two year old" I screamed. I stormed off and went to go look for Linetta our maid.
When I found Linetta she was sitting in her room at the back of the kitchen with somthing in her hands.
"whats that linny" I quipped "can I see" Linetta jumped up startled "silly old peice paper" she said in her spanish accent quickly moving to put it in her file cabinet.
"oh ok I just wanted to know what was for dinner" I replyed.
"home fry potatoe. " was her reply
"okiedokies" and with that I left the room. on my way out the door I paused "linny why wont momma and daddy let me go to New Charles Point for my birthday its not like im going to be alone."
"I not know dear they keep you safe huh." I had concluded after a few seconds that that was the only answer I would get so I left linnys room and went to my own. And fell asleep thinking about the life I lived I had everything a girl could want everything but freedom
