**Uraraka's POV**

The race had begun, and the first hurdle was getting through the front entrance of the stadium. It was a narrow corridor that everyone was trying to navigate to get ahead, much less actually fitting.

As much as I worry about Deku and how he is doing, I know that I have to focus on myself right now. I mean, my performance affects my future too. I had lost sight of him, and I was cramped in between thousands of students all frantically trying to escape that corridor.

**Izuku's POV**

"BEGIN!" Midnight shouted.

Everyone took off towards the exit... until I was the only one still standing there. Oh crap, I was so lost in thought that I didn't hear the signal to start! I bolted towards everyone else. By the time I had reached the hallway, most of the students had already cleared out, so I didn't have much trouble getting through.

Now that I had cleared the first obstacle, I had to pick up the pace to catch up. I had to win. For All Might. He's counting on me.

**Flashback**

"You must introduce yourself and proudly say, 'I am here!'"

With those words fresh on my mind, I started off to hopeful victory.

And found myself in front of three zero point robots from the entrance exam. But because Todoroki got an early lead by freezing everyone to the ground, he was quickly able to take care of them with a giant ice blast.

The next obstacle was a chasm with several protrusions of rock with ropes attaching them, didn't seem too hard.

The last obstacle was a minefield. Because of the careful pace of everyone ahead of me, most of the mines had yet to be detonated. I had to catch up, so I concocted a plan. I began to dig up some of the mines around me and gather them in a larger hole. Once I felt that I had gathered enough, I layed them all down and readied myself to jump onto them.

BOOM!

The huge explosion sent me flying forward at what felt like lightning speed. I could see Todoroki followed closely by Kacchan. But I was slowing down. At this rate they would pass me again. I had to time this landing just right...

I found the moment and swung my scrap metal down onto a mine.

The result was that I was sent forward and the other two were blown back. That blast was just enough to send me over the finish line and into first place.

**Uraraka's POV**

I was just barely able to make it over the finish line and still make it to the next round. Once I found out that Deku had gotten first place, I smiled. He deserves it, I thought. I looked for him and when I did find him, he was crying still from his victory. But once he saw me walk over, he stopped.

"Aww, Deku! You got first place! I'm so jealous!" I said, making him visibly blush. "Thanks," he responded, rubbing the back of his head.

Then Midnight called us back over. "Now don't get too comfortable contestants! It's time for the next event!" Then the spinner comes up again and begins spinning. "And the next event is..."

CAVALRY BATTLE

"Our next event will be a cavalry battle! You all will team up in groups of two to four people and work together to get as many points as you can! All of the contestants from the obstacle course received a point value based on their finishing position, starting at 5 and working up in increments of 5 for each place. The first place contestant, however, will be worth 10 million points!" I gasped at the large point value.

**Izuku's POV**

10 million points? But that means...

"So Izuku Midoriya will be worth 10 million! This event is a chance for those at the bottom to climb up and topple those at the top!"

As she said those words, I could feel everyone's vicious gaze hanging over me like a predator waiting for it's pretty to come out into the open, where it could slaughter it in front of every other animal to prove it's dominance. "You will have 15 minutes to pick teams," Then a big timer popped up with 15 minutes on it. "So I suggest you start now." The timer started.

I knew I had to pick someone. But everyone was avoiding me because I was worth so much. I had lost hope when a familiar face walked up to me. "Hey Deku, will you be my partner? It's always good to team up with people you like!" She said, making me blush and tear up. "Absolutely!' I responded. "Now we need at least one more. But who?" Just then, I had a brilliant idea.

"Iida, will you team up with us?" I said as I put my hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry Midoriya, but I'm going to have to decline your offer. I understand that you consider Bakugo your rival, but I also am trying to win, and I consider you as my rival. So I am going to try my hardest to beat you." Iida had this look in his eyes, just like the one I get when I am determined to do something. "I understand Iida. Thanks anyway."

Uraraka and I were walking around searching for possible teammates when a rather agressive girl with pink hair ran up to me. "Boy in first place, team up with me!" I was shocked at the sudden approach. But I wasn't exactly complaining either.

**Uraraka's POV**

This girl, Mei Hatsume, had started talking rapidly to Deku about her "babies" and how that because he was in first place, her "babies" would get all the attention. I wasn't exactly fond of her. All over Deku like that. But she seemed like a dependable enough partner so I let it slide.

Our last partner Deku had selected was Tokoyami. He was in the front guarding us while me and Hatsume were in the back making us lighter and more mobile.

"Begin!" Midnight shouted as she waved her knockoff pom-pom around like a baton.

The game had begun, we decided that we would avoid everyone else as much as possible. We eventually, however, got cornered by Todoroki and his team. Iida was on his team too. He used his overdrive technique to overwhelm us and snatch our headband. We tried our best to get it back but to no avail. We ended up grabbing the 70 point headband. Deku became depressed when he thought we lost, but Tokoyami showed him that he grabbed a headband large enough to get us to the next round. Deku then broke into a crying fit.

"These four teams will proceed on into the final event, the tournament! But before we get going on that, why don't we all take a break and get something from outside." Present Mic said, indicating an intermission between the last two events.

That's chapter 6! Sorry it took a bit longer than expected, but those couple episodes didn't really translate into book form that well. So it was rather difficult to make this chapter without it being 10,000 words or more, and I wanted to get the first 2 events into one chapter. But I hope you enjoyed this chapter anyway, and I hope you guys are looking forward to the next one! Bye!
