Tip #8- Updating

Do you follow that account that says, "I UPDATE WEEKLY!", but actually doesn't and doesn't explain the dishonesty? I know, we all have our own shit to deal with and we all need some downtime. Still, it's a common bad policy to say (or type) one thing and then to not do it.

My suggestion is to already have at least four chapters written before creating an account and then to write another four more before uploading it for the world to see. It's a great way to stay ahead and to help ease the stress of writing when you've promised. All you need to do is click 'publish' and you're done!

You'll still need to keep some sort of update schedule to keep your readers happy, though. Every one to two weeks sounds reasonable, right?

I currently have twenty chapters written, but only six published. This is so I can go back and change things if I rethink things a little or get a severe case of writer's block.

These are tips, not demands. So please don't leave any angry comments about this tip.
