The materialistic boy tried to talk to her
About more of his materialistic dreams
She pushed him away.
She decided that she had had enough of people.
But what she really had to do was,
Push away her pursuit of perfection.
She didn't do that,
She distanced herself from people in general.
Not that she had to do much at home,
She had already distanced herself from the imperfections.
They tried, time and again,
For a healthy relationship with their daughter.
But their daughter had already made her choice.
