7. A Little Less Than Average (PART TWO)

He slowly got up and took our newest prisoners away. I looked down at her. I can't afford her dying. I went to my phone and called in some others to help her. They took her away and I sat down and sighed. This can be a stressful job sometimes.

*Felicity's POV*

I sat there rubbing my belly. It's been two days since we found out I was pregnant. At first we were going to leave and search for help, but now Izzy's too afraid to leave because of the baby.

I actually have a baby bump. I thought you weren't supposed to start getting a baby bump until you were like two months pregnant, but I should know by now there are different rules to our kind.

I sighed. I was hungry. Izzy came downstairs and sat next to me. "How are you feeling?"

"Fatter."

He just laughed. "I suppose that's normal. I think you still look stunning. I like that you have a baby bump, knowing it's my baby too."

I smiled at him. "I guess that makes me feel a little bit better."

"I'm glad."

All of the sudden something vibrated in his pocket. I wasn't aware that he had a cell phone. He took out a little device and flipped it open. "Shit! Felicity go upstairs or hide for a second."

"Why?"

"Someone is one the property and it's an abnormal."

I stopped and closed my eyes. I decided to listen and see who it was. Now that I had more power it was much easier to find out who someone was from a farther distance. "Felicity!" Izzy yelled at me.

Then my eyes flew open and I smiled. I ran over and opened the door. "Jake!" I yelled running down to him.

A look of relief spread like a wave over his face. I gave him a big hug, then I got a better look at him. He looked awful.

"Oh my gosh! Are you alright?"

He coughed. "Not exactly."

I helped him inside and sat him down. Izzy was busy trying to calm down. He nearly had an aneurism when he saw me run out of the house like that in the open.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I've been trying to find someone. Anyone. I got a tip that there was an abnormal living out here, I had no idea you guys were here too."

"It's Izzy's mother."

"Oh. Well, I was flying for a day, then it was just too much so I had to walk. That doesn't exactly help things."

"Where's Jessica?!"

"She was taken."

"My lucious' men?"

"Yeah. I managed to get away in time, but it broke my heart having to leave like that."

"You did the right thing. Then you both would be in trouble."

"Yeah, and I found you both. This is just my day." He coughed again.

"Oh! You must be thirsty!" I ran and got him some water.

He drank in big gulps. "Thank you." He said with a hoarse voice. "Listen, I know of your extra ability. You both are the only ones that can get into the place. You have to save Jessica!"

"How do you know of our ability?"

"John and Carol told us."

"Oh, you still keep in contact with them?"

"Yes...you don't know?"

"Know what?"

"Jessica is Carol and John's eldest daughter."

Then everything dawned on me. It all made sense. "But why'd they keep that a secret?"

"Carol and John are big shots in our world and they didn't want anyone to use Jessica as leverage so they just kept that on the down low. But that's one of my hunches, that Lucious took her to have an influence on Carol and John."

"That would make sense."

"You have no idea how important it is to get her back." He said desperately.

"I understand."

Then I listened in on his brain for a second. 'I would die if anything bad happened to her that harmed the baby.'

I gasped. "Jessica is pregnant?!"

"Yes. We found out the day she was taken. The day before yesterday."

"That's when we found out!"

"Wait, what?"

"I'm pregnant too!"

"Then you must be..."

I gave him a big hug. "I promise you that we will get her back. I will do everything in my power. And I have a lot."

He smiled at me and a tear went down his cheek. "Thank you."
